FOND DU LAC, Wis. - A man who claimed he was a werewolf when he broke into a woman's apartment has been sentenced to six months in jail.

Robert Marsh, 40, faced charge of criminal trespassing, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana. He pleaded no contest to criminal trespass as part of a plea deal and the other charges were dropped.

He was accused of breaking through the deadbolt of a woman's apartment around 3 a.m. March 1 and grabbed the woman's arm, according to the criminal complaint.

He frightened the woman when he told her he was a werewolf, had powers and was involved in a witch religion, the complaint said. When police arrested Marsh, he told them he was a werewolf who could change forms, the complaint said.

The woman said she had been letting Marsh stay with her since his release from prison several days earlier because he was homeless, the complaint said. While he was there he drank, did not sleep and was often incoherent, according to the criminal complaint.

Fond du Lac County Circuit Court Judge Robert Wirtz sentenced Marsh this week.

Lol, that is pretty funny. but I do not get why would he break the deadbolt if he was living in the house?

He was either on drugs or crazy. Or both. I think that covers all the bases.

heh who knows..maybe he really thought he was one..Maybe he didn't think he was krazy, but why would he go after the poor woman who helped him out? :?

Well, WI has a lot of history with werewolves... Beast of Bray Road was made well within an hours' drive of Fon Du Lac. Oh, and speaking of Bray Road, it's got all kinds of myths / legends / stories about almost everything along it. It's in a really weird town (weird per capita is much higher there than elsewhere).

Crazy or on drugs (or both) are the most likely causes though...

 I'm going to have to have to say it was the drugs what did it, since he was nicked for possession of Marijuana..... among his other many charges.

Well, he was in prison before she picked him up. This, plus his little rampage, makes me think that he wasn't a nice person. Feel sorry for her though, she was just being kind :(

Up!

Sounds like he was delusional and mentally ill. He might have at the same time been Wiccan; it's possible to be a real-world witch, though we Wiccans (my being one myself) don't have physics-defying magic fireballs or telekinetic brooms. People with mental illness will incorporate religious beliefs into their delusions.
