1. What happened to this development company
2. Was this intended to be made into a game?
3. What would the game have been about?
4. Why wasn't this game made?
5 .Why did nobody use the gamecube for graphics like that?

Oh wow...I remember that. That Demo was really cool.
I don't think this was ever intended to be a game...just a demonstration of what kinds of things could be rendered on GCN hardware in real-time.
...but that's where there are no other things going on in the system, like enemy AI, physics, etc...
Both the GCN and the Wii are capable of much more impressive visuals than they were and are being used to display, but most developers seem to think that it is not worth the effort to push the hardware to it's limits.
If someone REALLY wanted to, they could make a game that looked this cool, or Cooler on Wii...but I wouldn't hold my breath for it. At least not for a while yet.

It would really suck to have gotten that far into a project, only to have it scrapped at the last minute. ...all that effort wasted.
