Ninjas or Pirates?
Ninjas or Pirates?
Ok, my friends and I have been having this debate for years, but when it comes right down to it, it's really just a difference in opinion. But I want to know what you guys think. I lean towards the pirate side, but I can see where ninjas are coming from.

PIRATES! PIRATES!! PIRATES!!! PIRATES!!!! 
I'm putting together a costume for a fantasy costume class in the Andalusian NW regionals. The theme is "Spanish Chocolate" and I was going for a Baroque-era look for myself, but you know what happened? I wound up tricking myself out in pirate duds with baggy breeches, tricorn hat and a frock coat in chocolate colours!! I might as well get some chocolate doubloons to pass out...shows you where my mindset is...

Living out on the sea, looking for booty, colorful clothing and a language to match, RUM, Friggin' awesome ships, walking the plank, eye patches...Pirates! Pirates! Pirates!
Besides, if a Ninja loses a leg, he's screwed. If a pirate loses a leg, he's captain.

Really, when was the last time you saw a fat drunken ninja? The term "pirate" is basically just a fancy term for "thief," but "ninja" refers to someone skilled in the art of ninjitsu. It's a question of highly trained assassins versus a bunch of disorganized thugs. The fact that a fat alcoholic with one eye, one hand and one leg can be captain should give you an idea of how easy it is to be a pirate.
The only perk is that it's so much easier to play pretend pirates than pretend ninjas. All you have to do to play pretend pirates is glare with one eye and go "ar-r-r-rgh!" at everyone. Nine out of ten fatass Americans that play pretend ninjas get winded after the first kick.
