My car?
1996 Chevrolet Camaro (Fourth Generation, Version One)





V6 powerplant, 2-doors, 2+2 seating, T-top convertible.
This Camaro model was in production from 1993 to 1998.

Mine still needs a Macco job to fix some places where the previous owner allowed the paint to oxidize. Always wax your car regularly, or you'll eventually pay big bucks for a paint job.

I dont drive. Guess I cant join the club.

I believe we've had a topic like this before. I'll soon be able to get my temps, but I can't drive at this moment and I'm afraid I won't be for awhile.

For now, I already got my ride.

Just upgraded the Navajo for a Toyota 4Runner.

Nephthys Navajo had 16 years and half a million miles on the odometer, and her (fifth) tranny was about to give up the ghost. We decided that given my horse-showing and Burning Man activities over the next four years, it's time to get a dependable vehicle that can tow a trailer (Navajo tow cap: 3000 pounds )

So we found a good certified pre-owned car dealer that gave me a decent trade-in allowance and rebooted to something like this:



No actual photos of the new beast, Lady Cristobel, but that's pending.

V8 4x4 on demand, 5,000# tow cap, power EVERYTHING, 23-gallon tank and gets 20 miles per gallon highway. Side-curtain airbags front and rear. I recently installed a tow ball on her and blessed her with a USDF window cling. Four years old and the previous two owners kept her like a museum piece, so I got a vehicle that's better than new for half the price of showroom floor new.

Those type of bikes we call "opafiets", wich translated to "grandpa-bike". Its called that way because its ideal for old people because of its simplicity, but just about everyone drives those things when you don't have the money for a descent bike/car/driverslicence/busticket/whatever.

Okay, one guy mentioned the price on his car, so I don't feel so dodgy about what Lady Cristobel costed.

With trade-in allowance and customer loyalty bonus, I managed to talk them down to $24,000. 4Runners with that equipment package sold for $41,000 back in 2003 and about $50,000 now.

Basically the 4Runner Limited does everything except check your e-mail, gets the best mileage in the midsize SUV class, and has top-drawer safety features built in. Seats, floor and outside mirrors are heated (we are in snow country), the moonroof doesn't just tilt up, it withdraws, 12-volt outlets all over the place, individual a/c controls and like I mentioned before, big gas tank. Fewer fill-ups. Took me about two weeks to go through a tank. Contrast that with Nephthys Navajo which required two trips to the pump PER WEEK at $63 per fill-up :omg: So I'm already $50 ahead of the old game.

I thought maybe it was just me, but I've been seeing lots of 4Runners around town. It feels good to have a popular car...makes me feel like I made the right choice, for once...

Since yall are at it, I can mention I paid $2,500 for my Camaro. Kelly's Blue Book value... $6,000. Why so cheap? It's paintjob is rotting away, and I was a friend of a friend of the person that was selling it. After a paint job, I could sell it for at least $2,000 profit. It's my kind of car, so I'm keeping it. I LOVE American muscle cars!

It would seem we have quite a few SUV fans in here. One day I'll skip SUVs and get a truck to go with my sports car. Trucks are the true big haulers. It's tough packing boards of wood and MDF for my projects when it barely fits in the back seat of my sports car.

I shopped for a truck but the problem with them is the new ones cost an arm, two legs and the soul of your firstborn, and if it's not new it's beaten to hell. Naturally.

The other thing was none of the trucks I looked at met my fuel economy criteria, this being: a) 20 mpg, and b) if it doesn't get at least 20 mpg, it must be flex-fuel capable. I was going to get an F150 but found it only got 9-12 mpg with a 36-gallon tank. Meaning I'd be buying about 72 gallons PER WEEK at $3.60 per gallon

Scary car, it has NO vices and NO nasty surprizes...It just goes.

'94 Subaru Legacy wagon. 2.2 litre manual. Nothing flash but it goes OK and it's got surprisingly good carrying capacity (managed to get a dining table into it once. Carrying a bed and mattress is pushing it a bit, though).

1985 nissan sentra 1.7L diesel

its old but it gets 50 mpg, is smog exempt, and handles better than a go cart XD

Here's a picture of my Alfa. I also have a Land Rover that get's most of the miles. The plan is to get a Mini Cooper as soon as the Land Rover is paid for, but my new house payment may cause me to re-think that plan.

1973 Ford Maverick. 3.3L (200c.i) Slant (straight or inline) 6cyl. I bought it in 1999; Im the second owner; its been in the family since new; and i only paid $200 bucks for it.





2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 Offroad 4.0L V6 Bought used in 2004 for around $14,300





1969 ford 5.0L (.302) V8 (might put it in the maverick but im not too sure about that probably get something else to put it in and have the maverick fully restored) Bought it from my mates brother for $60 Bucks.
