Ebay sucks. (werewolf resin figures)

So yeah, eBay has been slacking (or rather, its users have been slacking) in providing quality werewolf figures/statues as of late. If you search, it's pretty much all the same resin, wolfman busts etc. etc. that is always up there. There was a time where the fruits for werewolf figures were ripe and fresh.

Anyways, has anyone come across any new werewolf figures as of late? Or do you know of any figure/resin that is planned on being released soon? Oh, and if you have a pretty badass figure, by all means, show us some pics!

EDIT: Figarou, if you dare taunt me with your Talbain resin, I will find you.

Ok...I won't show pics of my Talbain resin. :D

As for new werewolf stuff...I'll post what I know.

There is an Underworld Lycan werewolf bust found here.

<sigh> only one has a tail, and that one looks more like a rat's tail.

And the Lycan (not Lichen) is gonna get free as soon as he realizes that those shackles will slide right off his wrists.
But then, maybe straining against his shackles is his particular thing...
IF he got loose, he'd go hide in a corner waiting for some one to re-shackle him again.

Looking at the various casts, it becomes obvious that a Werewolf will look fierce just sitting down sipping a beer. It's the fur and the ears, I think.

Looks almost like the Dog Soldiers werewolves, but with a tail.

Oh wow! Thanks for posting those Figarou. Those busts are displaying a non-stop continuation of awesome!

Underworld bust looks like a rat/Doberman so that might be avoided.

The bust from Greenwell studios is one of the better looking busts there. If only they'd finish his arms. I'll most likely be going for that one.

The "rat-werewolf" from Modelgiants.com is really nicely done. The body structure at least. But, as you mentioned ravaged, the tail is "meh". It doesn't make sense that his body is covered in fur but the tail isn't. It really takes away from the model itself. I don't know, maybe since it's a resin you don't have to include the tail when you build it.

The "Werewolf By Night" bust from Sundownkits.com is maybe my 2nd favorite from all the busts. It's not as ferocious as the Greenwell werewolf but it has a real nice base. That may have to be picked up as well.

Finally, the Lycan figure (the last one) from 3rdeyedesign is well, it's hard to pass judgement on that one. It looks like it might be cool but, the picture quality isn't that great. And if you go to their site, that's the only picture that they have posted. It's hard to tell if it's got digitigrade legs or not. It looks like it might. But again, it's hard to tell from the sub-par quality of the picture.

When I moved out from my parents home in Maryland to Arizona, I was forced to leave all my werewolf statues/figures behind. I'll get them back eventually. But until then, my apartment is completely void of any werewolf goodness. Hopefully, that will be rectified very shortly. Thanks again, Figarou. And by all means, this post was no indication that you should stop posting about these figures. Let's see some more!

And what is up with the goofy positioning of its arms?

Dibs on Underworld lycan. Ofcourse I cant understand why they cant make them look more attractive like the movie. They figurines look uglier and more vicous. :)

Thanks for the find fig, how do you find all these places?

The position of the arms don't bother me as much as the relatively flat face. This thing needs a longer wolf like muzzle. The feet also needs to be a little longer with a more pronounced digitgrade stance. The toes should also be slightly spaced with large hook like talons.

That greenwellstudios bust would be awesome if it were full body. Maybe because of the musculature, it kinda reminds me of the Van Helsing wolfman.

ShadowFang, I don't know if this is old news to you or not, but did you know that SOTA is "FINALLY" gonna make a AWIL figure? There's also going to be a pretty cool looking Anubis figure.

Given their attention to detail, it would be awesome if they did. That Talbain figure from Capcom was okay, but a little on the cartoony side. Who knows, maybe there will be a wave 2 of Darkstalkers that will have a Talbain in it. Let's hope anyways...

I can't show any of you sculptures you could buy, but there's lots of talented artists out there that favor the more sweeter-side of werewolves (Though, personally, I am definitely not against any of the Werewolves Fig showed off; They're all good to me.)

Lot of Anthro/Furry.

Beautiful Wolf by "Thassy"

Very AWESOME Furry Sculpts.

Yes! Thank you for pointing that out. I have seen the new Anubis figure that is coming from SOTA. You know I and tons of other people here will be getting our paws on that. Their Darkstalkers line looks really really well done. The detail, the poses themselves are all top notch. They. Just. Need. To. Do. A. Talbain. One! Hopefully they'll stay consistent and our deliverance will come!

I have mixed feelings about these. First off, some of these figures are amazing! The Wind Tamer sculpture is absolutely amazing! It's easily one of the best werewolf sculptures I have ever seen. And it shows the spiritual side of the new-age werewolf. This naturally leads to my complaints. Don't expect to be able to get your mitts on one of these sculptures. Most of the time, they are originals, not recasts. *IF* the artist is willing to part with their original work, you will be paying a hefty sum of money. Also, many don't/will not go through the trouble of getting the resources available to make recasts of their work.

Finally, while some of those sculptures are breathtaking, some (to me) are kinda cheesy. And by cheesy, I mean cartoony. Now, there is nothing wrong with that, but it's just not my personal taste. Also, there is something to be said about having an Anubis figure in my living room that has nipple rings. Hmm...

The ironic thing about this post is what I was reading it earlier thinking "yeah, EBay *has* in fact been really dry lately" right before I saw who the author is. So yeah, a year later almost and EBay's dial for quality werewolf figures is still pointing to "suck".

Regardless, awesome find Figarou! I do believe I will be purchasing both the awesome werewolf and the hapless Red Riding Hood. Werewolf looks good too! I can always trust your nose Mr. Figarou for sniffing out awesome "weres".

Hey everyone! For all of you werewolf action figure collectors out there, here are some cool items that you may or may not already know about. The 1st one is called Werewolf Lord. It's a D&D miniature. It's on a smaller scale, but trust me when I tell you that it's really cool once you have it in hand.

http://www.hobbyjapan.co.jp/dd/miniatures/unh/60.jpg

There's also a werewolf that's available as part of a 2-pack. It's from the upcoming Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie. I believe this item is now currently available @ ToysRUs
