I know! I saw the trailer in Ep III and have been getting quite excited about the notion!
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/lion_th ... ailers.php - There's some specials here about the making of the movie - I reccomend looking at the WETA one as it details some of the awesome creature effects! There's also a shot of a model of a very werewolf-y design.... with no tail
I also heard tell that the New Zealand gov't allowed them to bring in 4 wolves for filming :3

The Chronicles of Narnia are my favorite series of books, EVER...
I'm very very pleased with everything I've seen so far of this film interpretation. It looks like they are doing it right. (I expect it to be up there with the quality of the LOTR movies...or at worst, the HP movies...which I still greatly enjoyed.)

That's looking pretty good, there.
It's been so long since I've read that series I barely remember but a few things about it. I'm going to have to get my hands on it again.

I may or may not go see it. There are so many ways they could've screwed this one up, but hopefully it won't turn out to be awful. It does look pretty cool but it has a lion in it and I haven't read the books in so long... Eh, flashy effects, has a lion...on second thought, I'll pass. Tell me how it was.

The book makes mention that a werewolf was involved when the Winter Witch got her hands on Aslan and they were sacrificing him on the stone table.
Making Fenris Wolf a bad guy made me sigh when I read it, too. But there is a younger wolf later in the series who plays a minor battle role on Narnia's side, so the storyline treats the wolves as mostly neutral — some are bad, some are okay.
Nevertheless, this is my second most-anticipated film this year, the first was Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. I'll probably grab a bunch of friends and go see it on opening day.
Too bad we're probably gonna have to wait several years for them, but I hope they do Voyage of the Dawn Treader and A Horse & His Boy.

I bet the werewolf will have little screen time. That or its in the statue set and not in the movie.
They did that sort of crap in the past.
These dragons was in the Dragonheart figure lineup. But were they in the movie?

There was a wolf character in the movie, Fenris Wolf. He was the captain of the Winter Queen's secret police. The scene where Aslan goes to the table and gets shaved and killed mentions werewolves amongst the number of baddies.
Later on in the book series, though, the Wolves fight on the side of Narnia. They seem to be neutral and attach themselves to whoever's in power.

Interesting. I wonder if the mini statue happens to be Fenris Wolf.

I wanna see this movie!

I saw a commercial today with a wolf talking

A lot of cool critters to see in this movie
I'd like to buy a cool WW statue like the one posted above. Hope its not too expensive by itself
edit: Heh, if you add a bit of white to it, it could be a Figarou statue

Do they make duckie figures that small? Or is it a question of hauling out the yellow Sculpey?
