Greyhound-like dog born with mutation that makes most bodybuilders make a run for their monies.
I feel kinda sad that though i think she looks awesome, she won't be living long because of how her heart is normal-sized, meaning not enough blood to pump all that iron beef. The poor girl. *sob*

Same here. I saw a photo of a japanese spitz that had its picture taken weeks before its death, and believe it or not, it looked like as if it's 6 years old because of the coat, when it was actually 18 years old.

That looks awesome, and I think she'll have one hell of a unique life.

Yeah. She is called a bully whippet and when you get two dogs together that have a certain racing type of gene...something like one in three if the pups will come out like that. If it said it in the article, I apologize...I didnt read it. We were going to get a Whippet so I already read about all of this. Sometimes they are put down right from the start but a lot of them do find god homes.

Sorry for the double post.
A normal whippet:

A link about the condition with some pictures:

Most "bully" whippets arent as extreme though. Some only seem a little more muscular. But they also have a lot of trouble with cramping and a short underbite.

That must put quite a strain on her legs. Muscle is heavy, and Whippets aren't built to carry that much weight.

She's actually rather cute, and apparently has the normal whippet personality-friendly and not agressive.
I do hope she isn't as short-lived as the vet says she'll be; she deserves as long a life as any other whippet.
Either way, I bet she'll be well loved.

I would kill to be that ripped!!
But for the dog, it's going to kill her which is not cool. They actually breed this kind of mutation into cattle to get more meat out of them.

They need to get the gene for this, add the gene for a larger heart and lungs, and store the information for when it can be applied to humans.

Damn, this looks like something you would see in those muscle furry drawings.
Thats looks pretty awsome if you ask me. I just wish she can live just as long as a normal whippet.

Aww, I feel sorry for her... Just look in her eyes.

Rare dog or not, she's not gonna live long.
