I've got to say, I'm excited. I've been following this series since I was TWO. It looks like a real challenge, and the animation is very good. The enemies can run, and have a far better way of communicating than the Ganandos of RE4. On another note:

I honestly hope Jill is in it too. It's been, what? Ten or Eleven YEARS since I saw some canon Jill/Chris stuff!

Yeesh. And just as I had my heart set on finally boycotting Capcom altogether too. I'm just going to scrap that resolve altogether instead of shamefully caving in like I did the last time.

At first this looked like a clone of #4, but in the fight sequences they showed, instead of showing off the fancy mutations, just the sheer numbers are unsettling enough. I hate to say it, but this one just shot to the top five on my "want to see more of" list.

Chris Redfield is an awesome character and i'm glad he's back (Leon's my other favourite)

The graphics look excelletn and the gameplay looks completely berko (which means good )

I'll have to get Devil May Cry 4 as well

The fact that it could become the spiritual sequel to RE4 may actually be a good thing. Personally the gameplay to RE4 is suits me much better than the prequels.

I might not buy it just for destroying Clovers Studio. I might buy the older Resident Evil games though.

You are forgetting Resident Evil Gun Survivor (2) (although the European version was just called Redident Evil Survivor). That horrible and abysmal game for the PSX and PS2.

Gun survivior sucked, and is therefore ignored or mocked by the die-hard fans.

The die-hard fans should ignore and mock part 3 and 4 as well, since they almost suck just as badly. Part 3 because of the bad storyline and part 4 because of the lack of good horror.

Code Veronica was the first RE game I have ever fully beaten. That game had a good plot and quite a bit of scares.

Er, by spiritual sequel i meant a game that retains the basic gameplay layout of a previous game, like how Star Ocean is the "spiritual sequel" to Tales of Phantasia. :S

Double post: Apparently RE5 is garnering ludicrous controversy.

X-Play on G4TV has recently been showing a top 10 of the best games they've ever reviewed, and RE4 was sitting comfortably at space number one.

It's one heck of an awesome game if you haven't played it.

I'm leaning more to agree on the side that points out that the absence of black people as zombies throughout the series is racist. Sure, it's a negative role to be in, because you'd end up as cannon fodder, but on the other hand, black zombies should also not just be a sign of variety, but also that the zombie virus will indiscriminately infect anyone and everyone.

Strangely enough, no spaniard cried foul to RE4.

This game looks freakin awesome and the fourht one was the best so far...hopefully #5 can top it! I definatly think though that the game will be much better then the 4th because...hey heres a shocker! Enemies can run! Wha hu! in number 4 they pretty much just wobbled there way towards you
