I have know about Mike since his work on the Rogue mini series in nineteen ninety four. I went to his web page to read his blog on monday morning when it did not work, a couple hours later it was still off line so I went to his forum on comic book resources to see if anyone knew why his web site was not working correctly, then I saw what had happened, sad news for his family, friends and fans, I enjoyed his work and looking forward to seeing him work on his own ideas again, he was only forty four, should have had at least another forty.
His last work was the Fantastic Four Spider-man mini series.

Too young--that's half a lifetime by today's standards. A great artist has been lost.

Yeah... I was shocked when I heard this. I still don't know what to think really.
My fondest memories of his artwork is his art as co-creator of "Tellos". Not a particularly well known comic but the whole run (the original 10 (I think) issue series plus three or so anthology stories) is worth tracking down and reading.

The Tellos Colossa Hardcover is set to be released soon, collects the ten issue Tellos series as well and other Tellos short stories by Mike and Todd, even with the trades I have always intended to purchase the hardcover once released.
