I'm stuck with boredom. So, I am going to make some questions about werewolves in the minds of humans in the old ages.

Werewolves in the enlightenment age. 18th century to 19th century.
1. It is the 19th century, the Royal Navy frigate 'HMS Majestic' with 44 guns. You are the captain of the ship, your sailors are superstitious. They were rambling about a werewolf on board the sailing ship. You raised an eyebrow and ask what was the problem. The sailor said that one of the crew is a werewolf. Later that night, howl was heard on the ship, one of the crew members shouted "All hands on deck!" You heard the noises, you woke up from your cabin. You rushed to the deck and saw a large wolf-like beast growling. The sailors and marines were pointing their weapons on the creature. What will you do?

A. Abandon ship! Abandon ship!
B. Jump overboard without using orders.
C. Use the cannonade on the Werewolf.
D. Tell the crew, it's pretty friendly.

2. Rumors are heard that a so-called werewolf is threatening the livestocks in one of the farms in Maine. The townsfolk were shocked that the the werewolf was a young woman. She was responsible for the killings of the farm animals. All the town people chased the woman with pitchforks, torches, silver swords, and crossbows. They are all shouting the word Witch and things like Burn her! She's the devil! You see the mob chasing after her, she calls you for help. What do you do?

A. Help the woman escape by distracting the mob.
B. Stand aside and let the mob chase her.
C. Join the mob and get rid of the "Witch."
D. Completely ignore and go about your business.

3. You bought a long sword from a blacksmith shop. You called out your friends that you were going to explore the dense forest at night. Your friends joins you as well. There was a full moon on that day, you and your friends go deeper in the dark woods with the aid of torches and lanterns. Unexpectedly, a 8 1/2 foot wolf-like creature jumps next to you. Your friends screamed and almost started running. However, they remained by your side, because you are carrying a weapon. The wolf bared at his fangs as a warning and sniffed at your forehead. You accidentally drop your blade!

A. Run!
B. Ditch your friends and pass the curious werewolf.
C. Quickly grab the sword and stab the werewolf.
D. Play dead.

4. The English known as the Puritans have discovered the New World. The land is Virginia. When the Puritans arrived on the land, they are known to carry diseases from their homeland. You are a scholar of some sort. The British begin to make a camp with large tree-carved walls. The Puritans have invaded a Natives land, the religious zealots have declared war on the Native Americans that it is there land. The Natives doubled back and lost. They either become servants or slaves. You saw a row of survivors of the tribe. Most of them were women and children. All of a sudden, you see that most of the Native adults transform, their appearance changes to that of a lupine.
They all howled for pain and broke the chains, as the children stayed by there side. You were surprised that all of them were not human salvages, but monsters. Riflemen and foot soldiers ran to the place where you are. The battle begins between the Native American Werewolf tribe and the Settlers. You duck in cover as rifles fire. Then, a she-wolf bit you in the neck and slap your face very violently. Darkness envelops in your eyes. You woke up, you found out the battle was over, the Werewolves died as with their children. A few days later, you have strange symptoms and you feel dizzy. You went outside to have fresh air. You looked at the night sky and see a large luminous white orb. Then you feel sharp pain in the stomach, you gripped at your sides as you began to grow claws and sprout fur. A settler sees you like this and asks "Are you alright?" What do you do?

A. Scream.
B. Tell the villager that it is okay that you have a sprain.
C. Run away.
D. Scratch the settler and then run.
E. Remain where you are.

5. You opened your eyes to see that you are locked in a cage like an animal. Chains were on your neck, wrists, and legs. You try to remove the chains, but it is no use. A men with a elegant hat and clothes said, "Are you enjoying it, abomination?" He laughed and stride off your view. You found out that you are trapped in a traveling Freak Show. The wagon stops, you heard people outside. The curtains opened. "Welcome Ladies and Gents to the Freaks of the 1000. I am Robert Le Diabeolt, I am the ringmaster of this wonderful and human oddities and marvels. Here is the first exhibit, The Human Wolf!" He points to you, the ringmaster's workers unlocked your chains. "Witnessed as this young human changed into a wolf!" He shouted to the audience. You restrain and try to break the cage. You people gasped in horror. "What is this!? I want you to change NOW!. You deny and try to open the large iron cage. "If you do want to change, then I will do it for you!!" He demanded, the ringmaster of the Freak Show ordered his workers to use electric sticks to make you suffer in pain. You started to shift a little, as your body becomes taller and you change into your Werewolf form! "Look at this! Isn't it amazing!" Robert laughed. You finally break open the large cage. The audience screamed and ran. Robert is pissed, he equipped his pistol. "You Monster!!! I was earning my funds and you ruined it! Time to die, wolf. It has silver bullets, you will not last." What will you do now?

A. Fight Robert and his henchman.
B. Chase after the audience and kill them.
C. Bite Robert in the head and break it.
D. Try to run on all fours away from the Freak Show.
E. Stay in the large cage and continue your sorrow performance without food, water, and care.

Sorry, I felt like typing. The questions are that long. It's your own choice to choose what answers that fits you best. You can continue it with more questions from the Enlightenment age.

You have kind of a big flaw in this question. The deformed people (or "born freaks") in the sideshows were actually well-respected by the other sideshow workers. They were actually joined of their own will (Including Joseph Merrick(The Elephant Man), whom's life at the freakshow was not as bad as the movie said it was(He joined of his own will and was allowed to go see that doctor)) and only a very very small fraction of them were actually exploited as badly as beleived. SOme of them even ran the sideshows.

So I'd say that a were in a sideshow would actually get a very high salary. He might even have his own sideshow himself, with other supernatural creatures in it.

Dreamer: I know Freak Shows highly respect the deformed humans. I just used my fictional ringmaster owner to disrespect the protagonist male/female character as a suffering performer. Because, the ringmaster hates werewolves. So, I used something a bit different.

Fun! I get to be antisocial-online!
1: D. Then ask the crew what they'd do in the Werewolf's place, with all those weapons pointed at them.

2: A. Help her escape, then borrow the cannons from #1, cannonade the mob and share the juicy parts with the she-wolf. lck

3: B. If he hasn't already attacked me, he probably won't. Maybe he's someone I know... :?

4: B. The Female Were' had a reason not to kill me. Later, I'd say I was going trapping and head out to find more Were's- then settle the score with the puritans.

5: B. The creep has a gun and no morals. I'd run; then come back later- K.O. Robert, and take the cash box. I might be Were' but I ain't stupid.

All in all, I'd favor the Werewolves. In no scenario are they deliberately dangerous; just mostly hungry or in the wrong place at the wrong time.
In all scenarios it's the humans (Smoothskins) who are the troublemakers, and I HATE troublemakers. :x
Nuf Said...

Oh, dang, multiple choice pop quiz...

by Scott Gardener
I wasn't expecting a pop quiz! My answers assume that though I am in another place and time, I hold my current world view, sense of ethics, and beliefs. I already feel that they are out of place, as I don't feel that this culture in 2007 has yet adopted ideologies friendly to transhumanism, nor do I feel that contemporary thinking has yet caught up to my own sense of a justice system based on functionality and logical compassion rather than emotionalism and a need for revenge. (Yes, I sound as if I think my belief system is superior. But, I believe that anyone who doesn't believe their own ideas superior to the mainstream either must think inordinately well of the mainstream in spite of the obvious or is intentionally believing in something one does not believe. I put it forth that any rational person must consider one's own beliefs better than average, otherwise one would have to believe something else instead.) Ending smug mode and initiating questionaire:

1. C. It's growling, and its threatening my crew. I might issue an abandon ship order if we're near land or have reason to suspect that the wolf is growling in self defense. But, if I'm in charge of a ship, I'm not going to put the crew at risk to shake hands with a growling monster.

2. A. In this case, the werewolf is asking for help. This establishes a significant possibility that she is not a threat. By comparison, the townsfolk are exhibiting frank belligerance.

3. D. I wouldn't do any of these, but that's the closest answer. Instead, I'd slowly reach back for the weapon. In this case, the wolf is issuing a warning, indicating that in one form or another, we're still engaged in diplomacy rather than armed conflict.

4. D. Actually, I'd bite, since I'm not a believer in the variant "a scratch is contageous, too," mythos. Being newly infected, I'm potentially now the last of a race. Biological ethics recommend reproducing. Though I have previously mentioned not believing in seeking revenge for the sake of revenge, it is acknowledged to be perhaps an included consequence, motivation or not.

5. C. Strategically I should neutralize the one significant threat, the guy with the gun with silver bullets. The audience are innocents and no threat--at least not now. Granted, they're now a bunch of people who both know that werewolves exist and are afraid of them. But, Robert has a gun and expressed his intention to kill me with it. I've got a body that can crush his skull before he has a chance to do that, so I'm going to use it. It's hard to be too rational under these kind of highly charged circumstances, but I don't need to be; the instinctive reaction and my rational decisions are exactly the same.

I'd offer some additional questions, but it's late and I need sleep. Good night.
