my internet security is going out soon and i want to ask if anyone knows any good securities out there. i have norton now, but i have lost my comp twice thanks to viruises that broke through its cheap walls:P
please all sugggestions are needed thank you

What do you have other then norton?

Right now I am running, Zone Alarm firewall, and AVG and Spy-Bot for scans, Zone alarm so far has kept out all viruses, based on another computer that has had it for many months, used to have viruses quite often in it, now, each scan shows up clean. No problems with this computer either, based on about a month.

I'm pretty sick of Norton 2007 myself, and am looking for new AV software as well. But my question is, which version of AVG are we talking about here?

free is just fine, it just updates almost every day thats all

Zone Alarm and McAffe are great utilities. Even Windows XP and Vista have their own firewalls. (Make sure you activate it.) Zone Alarm is GREAT because it can even block the remote checks that Microsoft likes to run on my O.S., which I don't feel safe about.

I use Norton for anti-virus though. It's firewall is good, but has less control. If you turn the setting on the highest level, it will block just as much as ZA, but will also block friendly transmissions.

thx guys, i really apperciate yall helping me with this. even though im good with comp.s i cant do s$%@ with protection, thats how my first got bugged up(ran for 3 years through the internet with no protection at all )

i don like windows xp firewall, see i usually use my computer for games and my firewall likes to block some of there features, causing them not to work right so i have to turn it off

if you use AntiVir...ITS FREE!!!
