In my town there's a party store with an upper floor devoted to Halloween costumes; it's pretty cool! Maybe this year I'll head on over there and see what they got (I need new cat ears anyway :D ).

lol, that's some corny costumes.

Here in LA we have this place called Party City and we also have this Halloween store that's only open during Halloween. I've never been in there...but you have to be at least 18 to go in for some reason o_O;;

Near the place where I am at the moment there is a special-store just for Costumes and stuff like that....they have great Costumes there too :D I have never been in a Walmart at this season short before Halloween. But you are right...the costumes they have there are really lame :thpt2:

I hope I have some freetime during October to make my own costume. I'm thinking of constructing the Psycho Armor and Crystalis sword from the game "Crystalis" (aka "God Slayer" in Japan). That game was kick awesome, and the graphics superb (as far as NES goes). I'm better at making props than cloth stuff anyways.

Yes... that's a werewolf he's fighting. :D

I would love to make a Donkey Kong (Using the Rareware-made design) Costume, but I don't know a thing about how to make fursuit-type costumes. Do you know of anywhere I could find out the basics (Such as making a mask, making the bodysuit, ect.) of making those sort of costumes?

Also, my costume last year was Mario.

I never realized how many Halloween stores there were around here compared to all your responses. We do have Party City and Walmart and all that but we also have State Fair...which is this HUGE warehouse that specializes in stuff (they also have christmas stuff and summer stuff). Then there's another Halloween store about twenty minutes from my house and all the malls open up stores and then last year there was one right down my street. I hope it opens again.

But its funny you should bring this up. Yesterday was my first Halloween store trip. Not much out yet but Im getting ideas. I want a werewolf one but all the masks are hideous or uncomfortable and if I just wear ears and a tail, everyone asks me if Im a cat...even if its grey ears and a shaggy tail. :P

I'm thinking Artemis/Diana for this year. Normal Roman gown (if I can find one that neither too long or too short) and all the jewelry in silver and a bow and arrow with my brown boots. Comfortable and practical. I can wear it to work or trick or treating with my niece or to Hallomas!

Whats with the new trend in slutty women costumes these past few years? You cant find anything decent anymore...not easily anyway!

Speaking of tails and ears... does anyone know a good place to get one or both of those things? Costume shops never seem to do a good job with having one or the other, just whole costume pieces.

party city is walmart compared to the halloween spirit store and the halloween club warehouse
Yeah I think that's the name of the store! It has a picture...of the Grim reaper on a banner in front. I've never been there before, but if you say it's good, I'll take your word for it and check the place out.
