We Will Always Remember That Day..
9/11/2001
The day many lives we're lost..I admit I still think about it..It's still sad to know how evil humans can be..How easily they can destroy one another. Those who lost loved ones will never forget..
It's sad how just one day can make a difference an change many lives...

I couldn't have put it better myself then, and I still can't. I just hope that sooner or later the US does track down those responsible.Words almost fail me. I am absolutely stunned and horrified. My deepest sympathies goes out to those in the United States and especially to those who have friends or families in New York on the Pentagon.
Forcing planes with passengers on board to fly into buildings is sickening to say the least. I hope the US is successful in tracking down those responsible.

I remember it was my first day of High School and I was standing at the toaster and someone said a plane had hit the world trade center... I thought they were joking.
Classes weren't canceled that day, but were allowed to watch TV on our off periods (we only had 345 students in our school). I saw the towers collapse on live TV. That's something you will never forget seeing. A defining moment in American history, to be sure.

I remember, woke up about ten minutes after it happened.
I just figure people have their reasons for why they believe that and does not matter much which way they think.
May not be the right place for this, however, are people offended by those those think in such a way? Many people have appeared angry about it over the years.Dreamer wrote:The only political statement I agree with you upon.MattSullivan wrote:I'd like to throw out a special F*** YOU to anyone who still thinks it was a government conspiracy. People often ask the question, "Where were you on 9/11?" We all can distinctly remember where we were and what we were doing when we heard the news.
I was in gym class, sophmore year in high-school. I heard a rumor that the Pentagon had been hit. Then I got to my next class. Computer Graphics and Multimedia. We had a TV in there. First thing we saw when we turned the TV on... BOTH the towers were ablaze. Then one of the towers collapsed... then the other. The only thought in my head was "What kind of evil people would do such a thing?" Funny, how the terrorists are fighting a "Holy War" for their god, when it appears to me that they are doing the devil's work.
That very instant the towers collapsed, is like a photo in my mind.

I was in bed when it happened. I was woken up by my parents, and told to watch TV. I was too young to understand what was happening. 3rd Grade. But as the day went by teachers were explaining what had just happened. And as the years gone by, I understood the severity of what happened that fateful day.

I had just finished my shift (job-not the other shift) and was in the lunchroom, swilling coffee and watching TeeVee.
I saw the report of the first plane having hit the first tower, then a bit later I saw the second plane actually strike the second tower.
Everyone else was having hysterics; I was just getting angry- If I could'a shifted, I would'a shifted, I was that angry.
Then somebody wailed "What's happening?"
All I said was: "Childhood's over. Welcome to the real world."
When I got home, I set the Flag out. I've done that every day, since.
Those bastards have hurt our Pack: They're gonna die.

Xiroteus,
A reason why the conspiracy theory is frowned upon is that some who feel it was a conspiracy (you can count me as a moderate member of that crowd), use 9/11 as a soapbox - and thusly disrespect the lives lost on this day of rememberance. Everyone makes their own decision as to what extent they believe one thing or another, based upon the information they received, who they received it from, and how much they trusted it.
Much to my dismay, I've seen many Memorial Day and Veteran's Day ceremonies likewise soapboxed - sometimes from the very organizations otherwise best fit to speak at them (such as the American Legion or VFW).

Know why I really resent the people who did it? Because for a long time, i never thought badly of any race or religion. After 9/11, I caight myself thinking and saying terrible, awful things that I know will never leave my mind.
Basically, these people brought out the worst in me, that i fought to keep supressed. The suspicion EVERY human being has inside them, whether they admit it or not.
I just HATE thinking bad about ANYONE.

Not to sound cliche - but events like 9/11 truly bring out the best and worst in everyone. I spent many years drinking away the questions, just trying to forget that it happened. If I learned any one thing over the past six years... it is to continue to do what it is that you do in spite of any fear that surrounds what you're doing.
I hope we never go through anything like 9/11 again in our lifetimes...

We will always remember this day because it happened in our life time. Our children's children will only know of it through thier history books.
So many innocent lives has been lost throughout history. The Civil War......The attack on Pearl Harbor.....ETC.
Its not fair to lose a loved one from someone elses action.
I'll never forget 9/11

A) Because those last few minutes of 9/11 were the last time the United States would truly be the land of the free and the home of the brave
B) Everyone was touched by it, one way or another
C) Because The Bush administration isn't done milking this tragedy for their own ends

Sure, I could have stayed, could have even been king. But in my own way...I am King. (grabs girl) Hail to the king, baby!
