New Emoticons????
I got bored. And made some emoticons, anyone's free to use 'em if they want! I just modified a few on here.
I couldn't make a devil wolf, I tried but they all sucked.
That one was a modified one of the duckie toss. I'm not sure I'm 100% liking it but I'm new to this so I haven't got experience in making them!
Later Ill put some others onto the art board perhaps
My next goal is to make a werewolf guitarist! Maybe later though, I have to be up early

I moved this to the wolf smilie thread.
Its good to have another person who can make wolf smilies. For some strange reason, the others got bored of making them.
The angel wolf and wereducky is added to the list.
These might help as a reference if you're going to make a wolf guitarist.

Oooh thankyou guys!!!
Wow I will use those emoticons as a reference Figarou, thanks! Haha thanks for the move, I wasn't actually sure where to put the post. I should have looked harder
I'm unsure if I'll be able to make the wolf guitarist animate, but I will try. On the weekend, perhaps I will have a good go at it.
Haha wow thanks for putting them in the list too, that's a real honour!

Unlike the others listed, GIMP is free. The interface isn't terribly great, but I actually prefer GIMP over Photoshop for doing GIF animations. I'd suggest it over MS Paint, certainly.Heart of the Pack wrote:Too bad I got none of those....Figarou wrote:bloodwolf_345 wrote:How do you create a new smilie
you can use Photoshop, Paintshop pro, Animation shop, or GIMP.
Meh, gotta use Paint then...

I just looked, and Photobucket will apparently convert a BMP file into a JPG file for you if you try to upload one. If you want more control, you can follow these steps:
------------
Open up GIMP
File -> Open
Choose the file you want to convert.
On the new window that pops up with your image, File -> Save As...
If the save dialog has 'By Extension' selected under Select File Type, you can just change the extension (.bmp) to .gif or .jpg. If you prefer, you can click the Select File Type label to get a list of file types to choose from. It should automatically change the extension for you.
Click Save.
Depending on what format you chose, it may ask you some further questions. If you're not sure what it's asking, the default is usually fine.
------------
Things to note:
Bitmap to GIF may be troublesome if there are too many colors. It will convert, but the colors might not look right. If it's lineart, or something simple (less than 256 colors), GIF should work just fine.
JPG is a lossy format (it may lose information). You can choose a level of compression when you save it. The more compression, the more artifacts you might see in your image (due to lost information). For photographs and similar things, this can be unnoticeable. The JPG format is not very good for lineart, however, due to this reason.
If neither seems suitable, try .png.
