Kids WB dead

Post by Silverclaw »

http://animationguildblog.blogspot.com/ ... reats.html

Havent watched it in a couple years, but I still find this news to be sad. I feel bad for kids nowadays. Not as many good cartoons to watch(new ones anyways) and now no more Sat. morning cartoons :( I think WB was the last one. Sat cartoons were always a pretty big deal to me and my siblings back in the day, lol.
Kids with just regular tv are screwed.

There IS a whole cartoon network y know. AND Boomerang, AND Disney Channel, AND cartoons on family channel, AND Nickelodeon. I don't think kids are hurting for animated entertainment. Also, they are still gonna show cartoons, they're just gonna dress it up and call it something else.

I was really into cartoons when little (still am). Always looked forward to Saturday morning shows. I assume kids out their nowadays like that too(some at least).

Their is also people out there who dont have cable/satilite tv. We didnt get anything like that until two years ago or so. Its those kids with just regular tv that I feel bad for.

There's still Fox Kids, but the only alternative to that for non-cable subscribers is. . . *shudders* Qubo.

I can think of many "good" cartoon shows that were canceled to make way for more profitable cartoons. "Who care's about quality when there's money to be made," seems like the concrete mentality these days.

*claps hands*
I liked WB back in the day. When it changed into a stupid fest I wanted it put out of its misery. They kept showing bad foreign shows, things that I would not consider good anime.
Cyber VI, Batman, Superman, freakazoid, ....Those were great.
Now they have Jonny Test, badly drawn ScoobyDoo show and a not so fun batman. What they were thinking I don't know. All we can do is say good bye and take old yeller out back.

You know, there really aren't any cartoons I like on cn or Nick anymore. -_-
They canceled all the awesome ones like Garfield, Doug, Megas XLR....
If I ever acquire cubs of my own, they will not, under any circumstance be allowed to watch mind-killing crap like Spongebob or Bratz. Whoever created those shows should be drug out in the street and shot.
In fact, I might not even have cable tv at all, just series sets of Garfield and Pink Panther. ^^

Be sure to get the DVD box set of "GeeKeR" if and when it comes out. I check monthly for its release. None yet. So many good canceled shows. Heh, I was also really into "Mighty Max". Kids WB wasn't really my thing because I was a teenager. Around that time I was really into "Transformers: Beast Wars".
