I'm sure this was already covered numerous times... but Theri There encapsulated my thoughts on the subject:

Absolutely perfect. One must always consider the effects of grooming on ALL one's forms. Imagine if that had been a male, just having shaved himself.
Shifting does have it's limits-
Suppose that said Shifter was a head shaver as well?
Things could get ugly-fast...

IMO. It's another, DOW(Depends on Werewolf) kind of answer. If it was the kind of Were that shifted based from the human form, i.e. the Musculoskeletal structure is altered to a new form, then I suppose it could be possible that he may suffer from hair loss-or similar effects-incurred in human form while in his alternate form.
However if you think more about the magical type of werewolf where the alternate form is possibly seperate from the human form, i.e. the alt. form could be held in a pocket dimension and consciousness' and bodies are switched, then the effects would probably not carry over.

Well hair is different from fur right? So I dont think it would happen like that. You shaved your hair not the fur. However, that comic is hilarious and THANK YOU for reminding me about it!
