I was just curious, how many people here are guys and how many are girls? I can't always tell so I thought I'd just go ahead and ask. I'm a girl myself.

There are some people here with avatars that could fool me to believe the opposite, and yes, yours was one of them.
That's not to say you should change it; just that it looked like a really masculine choice of avi to me.

Dude here.
(Male)
...allthough, from the back many people think that I am a woman. (...likely because of my thin, small frame and long, curly hair tied in a ponytail).
...untill I turn around, that is. I have quite a bit of
facial hair...which erases anyones uncertainties instantly.

I'm a bloke.
I also have this strange tendancy to use Brittish slang, even though I'm from Texas.

Heh. Small world.

My hair is naturally curly and I've got small hands and feet (I'm 5'11 and wear a size 7), so I ended up growing this beard because people kept calling me all sorts of variations of Miss, and I'm talking about
to my face.

Same here, apart from the Texas thing. Did you listen to a lot of Monty Python as a child too?
and now for something completely different...

Not as a kid so much as an adulescent. And yes, I love the Quest for the Holy Grail and can quote it like Star Wars. I think a lot of it comes from the crisp quality of Brittish inflections, as opposed to the slurring, mumbling, and constant annoying flux of local adulescent slang, which I never bothered to understand. (I figured there was more important stuff to learn than a junk language that was hopelessly tied into the narrow time window of 1987-1991.) By having no accent at all and a Spock-like vocabulary, I sound to some people Brittish, so I might as well capitalize on it.

"and then the animator died and the evil moster dissapeared"
mmm... i pick up the slang by being around idiots, but i'd never use it. i also have a big vocabulary- but it comes from reading just about 24/7
