Hai guys, Its me, good ole lovable Searif

So I guess you guys have been wondering, Where did I go?(or maybe not, either way your going to know why)

Well, I have recently gotten into Karate, and let me tell you, I am hooked to it. Another factor is School, now, I thought that because of these two things I would not have much time left for anything else, but I was wrong, I often found myself bored, watching TV and what not and I thought to myself "I need to do something with my free time asides from watching TV"

So, I am back, This time I feel a bit more confident(might not show online) and I have no idea why.

Either way, I missed you guys :D

And so you know, I am still a white belt, Testing for yellow belt is not till January of 08

Searif good to hear from you old pal!! Dont worry, we all need a break from something. :D

I use to take Tae-Kwon-Do myself, I made to an orange belt and I loved it. Sadly when we moved to another nearby city I had to stop because it was too far away. :(

Yeah, it seems like Tae-kwon is more popular then Karate, but oh well :D I love Karate so much, and the style I am taking also has its own style of Kobudo(Weaponry) and you start that when you get your yellow belt, and I cannot wait to get my black belt in that, therefor I will be able to learn Katana :P

I'm part of the World Tang Soo Do Association, which I hear uses a slightly different belt system than some others. (Apparently we're the only ones who have a brown belt.) I've currently got a red belt with a stripe, 1st gup.

I do believe my school has a brown belt as well, it was just so long ago...

I'm proud to hold a second degree black belt, although I really need to get going back to my classes again, I've been taking a little break to take up guitar. I really should get back in there.

I know my style has brown belts, I have a friend who is a blue belt, and is going to get his brown belt pretty soon(as well as a black belt in kobudo)

Karate is fun to watch. I've never tried it but I had a boyfriend once who was into it and I went to a practice or two. It was really funny because they had a lizard of some kind (i dont remember what) and the one practice session came to an abrupt halt as all the teens and grown men in the room stopped to chase the moth around to feed it to the lizard!

Good to have you back! :D

I have chosen Judo for my physical education classes this year and I must say that martial arts, at least the type I've seen, are a very pleasant activity. Even being slammed into the mat in a way that shouldn't be done, has a certain charm to it.

Welcome back Searif!:
