Otherwise my theory on how it calculates is: how many times in a day (only on the days you actually posted something) you post. So if you make a new account, then post twice in one day, then come back like a year later, and post twice in a day again, then your posts per day is still at 2. Thus, it doesn't decrease the percentage if you don't post at all one day.
I honeslty rarely post, but one the days that I post I tend to write a few others as well. So my posts per day is at 1.71 posts per day. (EDIT: and now it's 1.73 right after I posted, since this is my second post today)
