PLEASE don't wake me up >.<...

dude.....ok
my mom just woke me up at 12:24AM and hands me a coca-cola, which I take, and drink without questioning her because I'm half-asleep.
Then, expecting me to remain in a gullible, semi-conscious state.... she tells me that I have to come outside and help her shovel the driveway.
At half past midnight.
My response:

......WHAT?!!!!
?!!!!!!@$#$!!$@$$!$$@$!!##!#!$@$#!#!$#@@#$#%$%!$#@^$!$#@$!#!$@!!!!!!!
>.< ......
Ok... this made me so angry that my fingernails and teeth actually started to HURT. Actually...they still hurt. So does most of my face actually. Hmm...tingly.
I need to get back to sleep now...but I can't O.o.
I like my sleep. I don't sleep much, but I like to STAY asleep when I have already FALLEN asleep. I don't like to be woken up.... and I especially don't like to be woken up for surprise snow-shoveling duty. I won't do it. You can't make me do it. I don't care why....I won't do it. I only operate between the hours of 6AM and 9PM....outside those hours, I'm not going to respond well to "ok....come outside and shovel".
Good night.

You're in serious trouble. You double posted (one of the first symptoms of an impending shift...)
Not to worry, I deleted the extra one.
Now, since you can't get back to sleep, would you mind shoveling the walkway, too?
And my driveway...
Try a glass of warm ( not boiled, just warm) milk. It really
does help you get back to sleep. There's stuff in it that the heat activates.
And you have such wonderful morning breath as a freebie!

I felt a bit like that on Thursday evening... was excessively tired so turned in at about half seven. At about 8pm someone from the Power Board came around to check something about the newly installed replacement meters and insisted on staying around and gossiping about the people a few houses down the road who's range had been wired up wrongly (apparently the entire house's electricity was running through the range). Finally managed to get rid of him at about half past. Then, at about 9pm, someone phoned up wanting to speak to my mother. (One of the problems with having a rare last name is that people just phone everyone in the phone book until they find the person they want). After that I gave up and did some web browsing while brain dead.

No fun being woken up, even less so if someone wants you to go outside.

Dude, that really sucks.....for the love of Bast, why couldn't it have waited until the morning?
On a different note, I'm glad to be awake finally. I just fell asleep an hour ago and already lapsed into a lucid nightmare.
It started out ok, like I was watching an episode of Heroes. It had the little kid in it and for some reasons instead of Machines, he manipulated reality through a dreamscape. Kind of like in Lathe of Heaven. But for some reason he was incapacitated and I had to go change the past using his power, but I couldn't do it, and the dreamscape kept getting worse and worse because of my failure to fix it. The bad part was I knew I was dreaming but couldn't change the dream or wake myself up. Took two tries of willing my eyes open in the real world to finally wake up enough to get up and get online to avoid falling asleep again. :/ Hate those lucid nightmares.

lol...yeah if that were the case....we would have had a serious problem. There would have been a bit of a mess to clean up...

Dang that bites. Still, warm milk never seems to get me back to sleep. Music helps, especially if it has some sort of... hypnotic undertone. Then again, i usually fall asleep to rock music, so I'm not open to talk. Oh, and I'm usually up past that hour anyway. I don't get much sleep, as you can tell...
({Lewis Grins} Something tells me i'm a result of that.)
But i really don't mind. Given, 90% of the time i sleep till ten in the morning, but since i'm unemployed right now, i don't mind. Everyone else does, but i don't. And i would have told her she was nuts, rolled over and went back to sleep. Still, she is your mother... i would have done the shoveling, and then used it as leverage the next time i wanted her to do something for me. "Remember the time you woke me up at midnight to help you? Well, you can help me this time." Kind of thing.
But that's just my (Mental) opinion.
(Something tells me he was...
Howling mad.

)
{Slumps head} oh that was bad.
(yeah i know.

)

Maybe it was a "shovel now, or plan on staying home until spring". I've seen snows that can pile up four of five feet of snow in a night; lotsa' luck digging
that out, especially if it's wet snow.
More likely it was a "Mom has to get to work early" reason. I suspect that is the case, still; it's a pain iin the tail (and any other exposed areas).

Well it happened to me too. Just this morning my sister had the bright idea of leaving the door open while she takes stuff to her car. Well the two dogs got out and she managed to get hers in but mines wouldn't listen to her, so she got me up at 6:15AM after only having maybe 4 hours of sleep to get my dog.

Dude, don't even start. My cat wakes me up everday at 6:40 am to be fed. Which isn't a problem during the week since I have to get up at 5:30 but on the weekends and breaks its murder. But, I hardly complain she is a living thing after all.

lol...yeah on average i sleep 5-7 hours per night.... not on purpose either... i just can't sleep that much and i operate fine on those hours...
in fact I've never really been able to sleep past 8:30 in the morning, and most mornings I wake up before 6:00 without an alarm >.<
but when people disturb my 5-7 hours....NO.

I normally get about 6-8 hours of sleep no matter what time I go to bed. I hate it when someone wakes me up unless I expect it otherwise I get cranky.

Sometimes I love being a girl. Nobody expects you to shovel and they're thankful when you do. Personally I like cleaning off the car.

It is convenient if you are able to fall back to sleep in seconds if woken, if you were every really awake in the first place.
