The title: Go Away White

If I had known they were working on it, I would have been anticipating it for the past decade or more.

For those who don't know, Bauhaus released their first single, "Bela Lugosi's Dead," in 1978, often regarded as the song that launched the Gothic music and cultural movement. Bauhaus was a major underground influence during their five years, before splitting up in 1983 for artistic reasons. Lead singer Peter Murphy managed to buck the trend and do well on his own, while the remaining three band members (David J, Daniel Ash, and Kevin Haskins) formed Love and Rockets and kept going. Bauhaus reunited for the "Resurrection" tour in 1998 and again for another tour in 2004. Now, they have put out new material. In some respects, it feels as if they picked up right where they left off, but at the same time, you can tell that something happened along the way, as the sound is them at their best.

As for the subject matter, great stuff. Two songs in particular might appeal to those of us lycanthropy fans: "Adrenaline" ("shift, crank, pull; shift, crank, pull..." is the chorus) and "The Dog's a Vapour" ("There's something in you...")
