Yeah, funny. Poor old George, if he hadn't run for a second term, he'd have been a hero.

Now, he's just President Redneck...

Yep :)

our new president (in mexico) it's all serious and hasn't said anything to be made fun of though :( he is not funny, nor Bush but at least he makes funny faces AND is afraid of zombies.

Probably more so... a lot of other countries don't seem to have ingrained into their national psyches the worship of the form and accoutrements of government that Americans appear to have. Case in point: we've got an election due a couple of months before the American election. The American campaign is already in full swing: primaries and all that. Ours will probably start once Parliament rises for the last time before the election - about a month beforehand. Then we spend the next three years mocking and satirising the winners. Repeat cycle ad infinitum

Every leader gets a ribbing fomr people. Bush just seems to get it moreso becasue he managed to misstep way to often. Sad thing is he was the compromize Candidate back in 2000. One of the other Candidates dropped out so conservatives would give a Majority in the Primaries over the other major candidate; Pat Buchanan. As it was George W Bush probably would have been an unremarkable President if not for 9/11. That event both gave him an icreadable push....but also gave him all the power he used to dig his own grave.

Bush wasn't completely innocuous and silent before 9/11. One of the first things he did when he went into office was pull the U.S. out of the Kyoto Accord. Really embarassing, since President Clinton was a big proponent for setting the Accord in the first place. By September 10th, 2001, Bush had already committed a number of diplomatic blunders, drawing ire from even places like Sweden.

Today, for old time's sake, he's dredging up nuclear weapon placement issues with Russia. Apparently he never got the memo about the breakup of the Soviet Union. Next thing you know, he'll be pushing for boycotts of Germany, Japan, and Italy, the Axis of Something Or Other; I Know There Was Something About An "Axis" In There.
