The only thing I can think of is maybe a mutant porpoise. I don't really see much of a pelvis or limbs, so that suggests aquatic. If it has hair it has to be a mammal. The skull looks pretty delphine to me. The only problem is obviously, is that cetaceans usually do not have hair as adults, but when they are born, they do actually have a few whiskers. Maybe a baby toothed whale with hypertrichosis?

I seen that already, it's old news. The press probably wanted to share it from their archives to the public to give a new hype about it.

I remember this.

I believe it was some sort of badly decomposed dolphin/whale thing.

Thats what they were saying in the comments below the pictures and it does look like a whale skeleton. The fur or hair, I dunno. Could be they just thought it was fur or hair.

Though its still pretty cool to see a whale skeleton....cant say I ever did before. Strange to see something without legs.

From the size and skull shape, I'd agree that it is Cetacia class...maybe a Beluga whale, or a Narwhal. They both have similar structures, and live in the Arctic ocean.
Not all Narwhals develop a spike-tooth, btw.

Think you guys are right aobut it being a whale/dophin of some sort. the so called hair could just be weeds of some sort seeing as it looks to be in some sort of shallows with drift wood.

Eh just throwing this out. Could be a baby Tylosaurus. I believe that's the supercroc Black Claw was talking about, and like Pariah said, baby marine mammals have fur so it might make sense if it was a baby Tylosaurus, however that would also make sense if it was a marine mammal, but its related to modern day snakes, and Monitors. It's probably just a large croc or something, and the fur or hair or whatever could quite possibly be from something else especially if they are basing that diagnosis just on the pics.

the "hair" could be algae or weeds if any one wants to do tests on it tell the world what it is i don't think that many would complain

...You're just now seeing this?

Seriously?

This is ancient. It was a whale, nothing special.

Yea I am just seeing it now...so? Apparently others didn't see it too. I thought it was interesting enough to post even if you did not think it was "special" :P

Not a Dolphin, no; but a Whale...

Since dolphins and whales are all Cetacians, that means that the blue whale (the largest living thein, ever!) and Flipper are cousins.

And they are ALL descended from bear-like creatures that went back to the ocean from the land.
