I just don't know how to answer this question...partially because my list would likely be TOO LONG...and partly because I tend to have discrepencies between things that I feel are the "Best" of something, and those that are my "Favorites".

...DragonBall Z is one of my "favorite" Animes....but I do not think it is one of the "best".

...and, Evangelion is one of the 'best', but not one of my 'favorites'.

...Cowboy Bebop is an exeption, being both one of the 'Best' AND one of my 'Favorites'.

I have discrepencies like this in all of the listed categories.

Image ...the old Muppet Babies cartoon show was not really that great, but it will allways be one of my favorites. Image

Hmm, others - let's see:

Titan A.E.

The Brave Little Toaster
Chicken Run
Fantasia
Fantasia 2000
FernGully
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles

I really want to see The Plague Dogs. I'm sure there are a few more good films I've missed, too :(

*nods* That's easily at the top of my list of favorite movies (animated or otherwise) of all time. The fact that it lost at the box office is injustice in it's purest form.

And the rest of my Hugh Jass list (favorites of all time in BOLD CAPS)

Computer Animated:
FINAL FANTASY: SW
SHREK 1 & 2
MADAGASCAR

Monsters Inc.
Ice Age

Traditional Hand Drawn:
LION KING
Balto
Sinbad

Anime:
COWBOY BEBOP: KOHD
PRINCESS MONONOKE
GHOST IN THE SHELL

Kiki's Delivery Service
Please Save My Earth

(not a huge claymation fan)

Animated Shorts:
Kaze: Ghost Warrior
Mike's New Car
For the Birds

TV Shows:
SAMURAI JACK
FATHER OF THE PRIDE

Catscratch
Brandy & Mr. Whiskers

Sabre
Princess Monanoke
AquaTeen Hunger Force
Mega Man
Ren and Stimpy
Cow and Chicken
Ed, Edd, And Eddy
Jackie Chan Adventures
Heh, I wanted to mention things on those. I LOVED Jackie Chan Adventures, they don't show him on Cartoon Network anymore though. Ran and Stimpy was really funny, and being a fan of Mega Man (as I've mentioned many times before.) I loved watching Mega Man, untill I think later on they changed him.

Otherwise does anyone here also like that one show Angry Beavers and Rocko's Modern Life?

I've lost track how many times I've answered this question on my internet journeys, but, here they are again, back and the list is bigger than ever, mostly thanks to my computer animation teacher at RISD introducing us to many many more films and stuffola:

Computer- The Incredibles, Shark Tale, Monsters Inc., Shrek 1/2, Ice Age

Traditional- The Lion King, The Emperor's New Groove, Brother Bear, Tarzan, Robin Hood, The Rescuers+ Rescuers Down Under, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver and Company, Aladdin, Balto, An American Tale + the sequel Fievel Goes West (but not the cheap DTV sequels!), Wizards

Anime-Naruto, Dragon Ball/Z/GT, Akira. I'm not into anime that much anymore really.....

Claymation- Anything by Aardman Animations (They did things like Wallace and Gromit + Chicken Run) or any ones directed by Henry Selick (Nightmare Before Christmas+James and the Giant Peach are the major ones)

Shorts- Creature Comforts (A Nick Park/Aardman Animations short, view it on AtomFilms), all Disney/Warner Brothers's shorts, the old 1920's silent Felix the Cat cartoons, Norman McLaren's "Neighbours" (Info and video clip is here)

TV Shows- Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Camp Lazlo, Catscratch, Invader Zim, The Angry Beavers, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Sonic the Hedgehog (that one that came on ABC Saturday mornings), The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (The one in syndication that was comical), Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, Ducktales (This is finally coming out on DVD soon along with Rescue Rangers, YAY!), Bonkers, Talespin, Gummi Bears, Bonkers, Garfield and Friends, Megaman, Futurama, Family Guy, Venture Brothers.

WHEW. As that one Nicktoons Channel filler spot says:

"I like cartoons....I love cartoons....I eat cartoons!"
"In fear I hurried this way and that. I had the taste of blood and chocolate in my mouth, the one as hateful as the other."-Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf
