ok i know people can be hostile. so to prevent this ive started a thread to state this: don't hate vampires i kind of like them actually but i still think werewolf's are cool so just... yeah.........

Who said vampires weren't cool?

Yeah. I have vampires in my story, a one of main characters, a vampiress is in love with a werewolf.
I like them, and no one is going to hate you for liking them. Or saying their better... even though they aren't.

Why do we need more than one thread about this?

{Shrug} I don't know. I guess he was worried we'd attack him for not liking just werewolves, even if we have you, a blue tiger, pariah, a gray jagaurundi, and KittyRose, a leopard, plus half a dozen other non-wolf people, and several threads talking about other shape shifters, including that one about "What kind of wereanimal would you be?" if you weren't a wolf.

I really don't know what my point is anymore...

Vampires suck blood from the living. He was making a bad pun about vampire's, as they do suck, blood. He didn't mean they aren't cool, or "they suck". Get it? It was supposed to be a joke...

Anyway, when it comes to werewolves and vampires, Hollywood traditionally favors vampires because they are more human in appearance. That makes them easier to relate to by an audience, easier to personify by the actors playing them, and much easier for the FX and/or makeup crew to create.

As such, vampire movies outnumber werewolf movies several times over. That means vampires are (second only to zombies) an overused concept. There's no pursuit of a good modern vampire movie; Hollywood made such a movie ten years ago with the original Blade. And in the ten years since then, countless other movies have been made featuring vampires in black leather fighting with kung-fu, swords and semiautomatics with techno-trance soundtracks.

Werewolf movies, on the other hand, still suck today just as much as they did ten years ago, maybe even more so. Just as Hollywood likes vampires because they're easy to make look real for cheap, Hollywood is shy of werewolves because even movies with a multi-million dollar budget have had a hard time making werewolves that don't look like either recycled puppets from The Dark Crystal or escapees from a PS1 game. Nobody has figured out how to make a believable werewolf yet.

And since nobody knows how to make a good werewolf yet, the only people in Hollywood making werewolf movies are typically the ones that expect the movie to suck right from the get go and provide a script of an equal quality. Even Wes Craven fell flat when it came to werewolves.

So if you want a good vampire movie, drop by your local video store, and if those aren't good enough, don't worry, there will be more.
If you want a good werewolf movie, on the other hand, you're going to have to wait along with the rest of us.

Distorted, you need to work on your English. Some of your threads 9 and you've been posting a lot of them ) are poorly worded and vague. Slow down a bit. We're not going anywhere.

Vampires are indeed cool, about room temperature.

This is, however a Werewolf forum. Vampires are included only as they relate to Werewolves.

You can really talk about just about any topic in The Pack. Nothing saying you can't. Just post it in the right section, and there's no complaints. If anyone complains about you talking about vampires, they are in the wrong. Do as you please, just keep it clean...ish.

*nods* It's kosher right now since you posted it in General Stuff. People here often gripe about and/or make fun of vampires, but there's nothing at all that since you can't talk about them anywhere outside the WSAWB forum.

But please, make this the last "what's wrong with vampires?" thread you start. There aren't really any restrictions on what can and cannot be posted here (with the exception of grenades/flamebait and other more obvious exceptions), but posting the same thing over and over again qualifies as spamming.

So please, if you have any more questions about vampires, try to fit em' into either this thread or the previous thread instead of starting a new one. Really, one of the ways we try to avoid repeat topics here at the Pack is by making older topics easier to relocate. If you can ask a question or make a statement and it adheres to an already-existent thread, please use it.
