Why I've dropped off the planet

Hey everyone! So yeah, I haven't been able to post at the forums or DA much lately. So sorry for not posting much, it's just that college has been fast approaching.

Things have become a bit insane lately, and the insanity shall increase greatly come this Sunday when I move into my dorm.

Then there's orientation, I have to pick a suitable work-study (which will take up an as-yet unknown amount of my time...hopefully not much) and classes begin next Thursday. Considering I'm a Robotics Engineering major...the busy schedule is to be expected. BUUUT I won't know for sure how much free time I'll have until I'm there.

I shall try to make it on more often, and keep posting my artwork when I have the chance to complete it. Expect more photography, seeing as it requires minimal time commitment...but I WILL try to finish some drawings and such.

So, I am still reading things people sent me to read, and I'm still trying to finish some of the drawings I owe people.

In terms of art requests... please do not badger me with requests or questions about old ones... I've had people doing this lately (I shall not name names, and most of it isn't happening here). I MEAN it when I say I don't really have the time to make promises on art requests. It's just that, a request. It's not giftart, it's not a commission, and it's not an art trade.
Art is NOT my main thing, it's far from it....it's a hobby, which I do for my *own* entertainment and interest, and is usually prioritized as such, with few exceptions. I don't take commissions for this very reason...I don't want it to become an obligation like other things in my life. It's an *escape* from obligations. If I can do it, I want to do it, and I have SOME idea as to how I can do it, I'll try to do it. If it doesn't happen, I just didn't have the time and/or I just couldn't make it work. I know this might sound bad...but it's just the way I have to operate. Otherwise, nobody is happy, including me...and I'd never finish anything.

As far as projects or owed giftart that I have talked back and forth with people about, asked questions about, and showed signs of interest in completing (you know who you are)...those take priority over requests. Don't worry. I might be running a little slow but with these I have suitable motivation and interest to work on when I have the time.

But just so you know why I'm not here or at other forums as much...that's why. I didn't die.

Hey don't worry, right now the reason why I dropped off the face of the planet is because I have no internet connections at the moment in case anyone was wondering. I decided to go to college in the January due to lack of money to save up for certain necessities and wants. I guess I really wasn't prepared for college after all.

I know the feeling. With the fall school season coming up, we may see a lot of people fluctuate. For me, life is pretty much always chaotic.

Yeah, I might drop off the planet as well. School has now started for me and apparently the classes I'm taking are like AP on Steroids. (Has anyone heard of the International Baccalaureate Program?) Which means less time for other things other than study.

Yeah, I just got back from "A" school at Lackland Air Force Base a couple of months ago, which is why I've been gone forever. Not that I post much anyway. I'm taking an extended holiday while the hiking in the mountains is still good, though I'm sure something will come up and six months later I'll start wondering why I haven't been able to find the time to post -- again.

By the way, Scott. How the hell do you people manage to survive living in southern Texas in summer?! No offense, but damn. I don't ever want to have to do that again.
