Never Cry Wolf

Post by Berserker »

Fantastic, incredibly underrated film. It's also somewhat difficult to find, I had to order my copy on Amazon. It was made during a period of company turmoil at Disney and so it was overlooked, almost forgotten. The spirit of this film got buried in the avalanche of syrupy sentimentality and blockbuster bombast that would define Disney for the next two decades.

I'd prefer to watch this movie rather than read the book. The subtleties and cinematography of this work ensure that it is NOT just for greenies and wolf nuts.

I don't know, I really enjoyed the book. The part where Farley Mowat tries to contact Churchill, Manitoba by radio, but due to atmospheric skip gets some HAM operator in Chile instead was hilarious. :D
