Just out of curiosity. I have Trillian myself.

I use Pidgin for:
MSN, AIM, Yahoo, XMPP/Jabber, and Facebook Chat (there's a plugin for Pidgin to do it). Then I use XChat for IRC. And I occasionally use Skype. I get a laugh if nobody here uses ICQ anymore (I had a user ID like probably 10 years ago).

I used to use Trillian, but it was pretty basic on some ends. Otherwise I now use Pidgin since it's cross platform supported, open source, and because I can install it on my flash drive with the use of the PortableApps system and use it pretty much anywhere.

I'm always on MSN if my computer is on. It take up less OS resources than the other IM programs. Otherwise I'm rarely online in Yahoo or Skype, but the option is there.

I mainly use AIM and Yahoo coupled on Trillian, but I occasionally use IRC, also.

I use MSN (when I remember to turn it on) and AIM (since I use AOL as my ISP).
AIM; I'm Kyllein@AOL :)

MSN; It's been a while. I'll have to look and find out.
Like I say, I often don't remember to turn it on. :(

Has anyone heard of Meebo? I use that for MSN, Yahoo, and AIM. But sense I forgot my AIM password I cannot use it anymore.

If you use a multi-protocol client like Trillian or Pidgin (which probably uses less resources than Trillian), you pretty much use the same amount of RAM as just running MSN. For example, I'm actually connected to MSN, Yahoo, AIM, Jabber, and Facebook with 8 open conversation windows (of conversations that have spanned over a few days) and I'm using only 33MB right now (in comparison to my browser which is using 370MB right now). Besides, there's barely much to an instant messaging client and multi-protocol clients tend to use less resources than the first-party clients.

In other news, when we get the main pages of the website redone, we might consider on starting a Jabber server for The Pack so that all members of The Pack would have a Jabber account by default. This would also help for those whom don't have matching IM messaging accounts (i.e. one person having AIM but wanting to talk to a Pack member on Yahoo).

I'll add my two cents.

Pidgin and occasionally, Skype.

Pidgin is such a nice little program in the sense that it's open-source and multi-protocol.

I dont. :P

I used to use MSN though. I see all the people that I would talk to frequent enough that I dont need to talk to them at home too.

I am signed up with many, however, I use Yahoo Messenger only at the moment, if I had others on different IM services I would use a program that combines them together since I like have people in one location.
