Need artwork for The Pack flyer.
Need artwork for The Pack flyer.
This is mainly for all of us, but I really want to get this done. So I tried to make a flyer for the Pack to post around during Halloween and during events like the Twilight release. It would be really great for our community and to help stir interest in werewolves.
My original thread/ideas: http://www.thepack.network/thepackboard ... f=2&t=7609
The problem is that while the artwork I chose is good and appropriate, it is copyrighted and can't be used.
Please! Can someone help me put together a new flyer for The Pack?

What sortof art are you looking for?
Btw, since this relates to The Pack, you could have this thread moved to The Pack-General Discussion forum instead; more people might see it there too. If you want

Why not use The Pack Emblem?
"We are not always what we seem, and hardly ever what we dream."
Re: Need artwork for The Pack flyer.
The Pack emblem doesn't outwardly suggest that the site is about werewolves. It's too subtle, it doesn't grab people's attention. I need something that advertises lycanthropy in a respectable, reserved, but understandable way. Ideas include:
-Transforming werewolf footprints (my original idea that was copyrighted, but could be redone.)
-Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man meshed with wolf imagery (something similar to Scott Gardener's avatar.)
-The classic image of the procession of human evolution ("Evolution of Man,") except instead of from ape to man, reverse it and make it man to wolf (it would take a very skilled artist to pull this one off realistically.)
-Closeup of a wolf's face with a focus on the eyes, except one eye could be a human eye, and the other one could be a wolf's (or both eyes could be human-like.)
I'll put up other ideas as I think of them.

Something like this? Of course, this is still a little too complicated -- I've been tossing around the idea of doing something like this myself.Berserker wrote: -The classic image of the procession of human evolution ("Evolution of Man,") except instead of from ape to man, reverse it and make it man to wolf (it would take a very skilled artist to pull this one off realistically.)

Anyhow: I was thinking along the lines of a wolf print inside of a human's print, with a simple silhouette of the moon phases across the top.
Or an outline of a human standing next to a wall, with a wolven shadow.

Those are good ideas too!
I like the silhouetted version of the evolution line... better printing contrast and no need to delve into too much detail.
