Allow me to express my delight with an image:
Okay, silliness aside, I'm glad he won. I don't agree with everything he says or does, but he's a far sight better than the other guy.

Gonna go for an image as well:
My mother burst into tears when he broke 270. I didn't...I knew this would happen, even before he was nominated, even when there were maybe 20 candidates for the Democratic party alone. I knew he would be president the first time I saw his face.
I'm still not entirely sure why I knew, but I'm happy to know I was right in my assumption.

McCain= Bush II
Obama= Gore II
....
Different Party, Different President, Same Agenda!
Elite: Let the ignorant Americans have their 'Change.'

Americans: Let the elite pack up their s*** and flee to Dubai while they still can.
No, the elite had their fun during the eight years of Bush. Now the party's over, and in two months, anyone dumb enough to remain in the country is going to have to answer for what they've done. The people that were fat-happy thanks to Bush and whom John McCain would have just thrown more money at, they are now going to have to learn to live without.
I knew Obama was different from all the previous candidates when I saw how the rest of the world was rallying behind him. Bush did everything humanly possible to ruin the U.S.'s foreign relations, but Obama is a man that will come into the White House with the free world already firmly behind him.

I didn't realize just how important this was to african americans..until i saw them crying on the streets of Los Angeles. Expressing how truly proud they are to be Americans. That in turn made me proud ( er )

He is a vast imrovement, and if he is nearly as messianic as everyone is suggesting, then in some sense I guess he is progress, but the euphoria doesn't really extend that far to me for many reasons.

I know I'm gonna be flamed for this but i don't care!!
Obama winning the election is nothing to be excited about.
The people he allied with and/or associated him self with freaking scares me like the domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, and the racist reverend of his.
His socialist agenda is gonna destroy our already fragile economy!
I just don't like the man, period! I just hope the man gets >Bleep!<, or impeached! If he gets elected then I'm moving out of the US for good! I lost hope in the nation when we elected a member marx fan club as president.
I could go on, but i don't have the energy or the patience right now.
Reminds me of those corn syrup commercials.

Isn't that a little much? The guy didn't even do anything.
Now a desire to see Bush assassinated makes more sense...
I'm pretty sure Obama wont drop a bomb on us while we sleep or anything if thats what your worried about.

Just in case you didn't notice...the Bush Administration holds controlling shares in our nation's (surviving) banks. We're a socialist nation
right now.
I just hope the man gets assassinated
For future reference: you might want to reconsider going around talking like that.
I don't
think you'd be stupid enough to try fulfilling that wish yourself, but there are plenty of psychopathic racists who would be all too happy to pick up the slack.
Bottom line: YOU DO NOT THREATEN A PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. We are a nation of laws, not thuggery.
So he has been elected, by a sizable margin. Are you going to follow up with your comment that you were leaving the country? Where will you go? Or were you just blowing smoke?

Would you have preferred John McCain, who was recently "palling around" to get endorsements from religious leaders that insisted 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina were God's punishment for our tolerance of homosexuality? If you're going to judge someone purely based on who they have associated with at any point in time in their entire life, at least be fair and judge everyone else the same way.
Anubis wrote:I just don't like the man, period! I just hope the man gets assassinated, or impeached! If he gets elected then I'm moving out of the US for good!
If you're selfish and/or evil enough to wish someone assassinated over trivial reasons, and also dumb enough to express that desire openly, you won't be missed.

Even I never wished to see Bush assassinated (I can't believe he wasn't, but I never wished he would be).
Seriously Anubis, you've written a lot of things on this message board that made me wonder if your brain knew what your fingers were typing, but out of respect for you and the Pack, I was willing to either try to be rational or look the other way altogether. That, however, is way too far over the line for me.
So now comes the part where I tell Anubis to go f--k himself and never speak to him again. I'm not going to bother trying to argue like I did with Vuldari and Wselfwulf; he's going straight to my foe list for that one.

Ok, well I doubt anyone would be dumb enough to compare Obama to Pol Pot. But that's why some people see socialism as a scary word.

It is people like Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot that made "socialism" and "communism" such dirty words. But here's the thing: they weren't socialists. They were fascists who referred to themselves as socialists. Using them as poster boys for socialism would be like using Saddam Hussein as a poster boy for democracy.
