Farewell Michael Crichton :(

With the election and everything no one even seemed to notice his passing.

I know that I didn't know him personally so it's a little ridiculous to be upset by his death, but his books provided me a much needed sanctuary during the worst of my days in school. I could tune out all the insults, giggles, and gestures when I had a good book.

Wish I could have met him.

I'm a bit impressed he was alive this long. Some of the books he wrote were pretty old sci fi.

One of Michael Crichton's books that was made into a movie features a lady protagonist that shares the same first and last name as my mother. Needless to say, he was very dear to this family and shall be missed.

66. He died of cancer. Apparently he'd been battling it for a while.

Aw, crap! I really admired him! He gave us everything from Jurassic Park to The Andromeda Strain! He was a fellow physician writer, having gone to medical school but made a career out of writing.

Yep. I really enjoyed his work. I think Sphere was my favorite book. The movie kind of botched it up.
