Christmas Loot

I'm surprised no one has started this yet!

What's your Christmas/Holiday loot thus far? And don't worry if you start to feel greedy.

I still have my birthday gifts and a couple of parties coming up, but as of now I have obtained:
  • Clothing (duh!)
  • A new pillow (I asked for it)
  • Money/Giftcards
  • A 36 Prisma Color set (woo! These were totally unexpected. I already started using them too!)
  • 54" HD TV. (Okay, it's Dad's, but I'm using it too, y'know?)
  • 8 feline beanie babies, and a stuffed wolf (courtesy of my overly generous best friend, who also gave me a fist full of money.)

My parents were lazy and just gave me 1300 SEK, which equals around 170 USD at the current conversion rates at the time of this post.

I only really got some clothes this year, and that was about it.

I bought a bunch of nifty stuff for myself though, but I don't think it's within the rules to list those.

The only thing I actually asked for was money to renew my deviantART subscription with, which runs out in January. I was given a $50 American Express gift card to remedy that. :)

But, I also got:
- A green peridot/diamond/24 carat gold necklace. That was a shocker - but it was a really reduced price!
- $65 in iTunes gift cards (which I have $2 left of at the moment)
- Ornaments. My mom has an obsession: "But if I don't buy you any now, you won't have any to put on your Christmas tree when you have a home of your own!"
- A nice dress shirt/cable-knit sweater combo in blue and brown.
- Three items I will be returning! Haha. I still can't believe my mom bought me a purse. I AM SO NOT GIRLY.
- And, I forgot to mention, I got no less than three Christmas presents from some deviantART friends! I think I actually liked those the best, knowing that people put their own kindness and work into them. Some of them I have here!

I know I'm not a kid anymore because I was more pleased to see my parents happy as they opened their gifts from me.

Reminds me of when I was buying my laptop, the guy said he'd give me a 20% discount if I bought the bag that looked like a giant purse. Suffice to say I didn't take him up on the offer, since I didn't want to buy the bag and throw it out, and I didn't want to keep it either. He wouldn't let me buy the display model that had 40GB of porn on it either, since he didn't feel that 50% off was fair, well that and because the only one who could unlock it was on vacation. I had been curious as to why an employee was standing there with his coat draped over the laptop.

I got the requisite socks, various other bits of clothing, and one of those shaving kits from my sister, which I opened immediately after shaving. Talk about good timing, since I've been using the same disposable razor since last Christmas when I got that shaving kit from a different sister. It's getting a little dull, just a little bit. So, I no longer look like a pirate/homeless guy, which makes me sad because this haircut is completely ruined without facial hair. You know you've got it good when the one word used to describe you is 'Feral', though less so now that I've also trimmed my sideburns. Now I just look like a vampire again.
I didn't buy any presents this year either, though my brother still owes me over 400 bucks which I'm not really feeling any urge to bug him for. I guess that can be his present.
Speaking of debts, a former co-worker still owes me too, though I doubt he's going to sober up enough to remember it. I'll never understand some people, they complain about not having money, and yet they spend every dollar they have to get stoned out of their gourd.

I got a Twilight t-shirt. =D
Money and a gift card for the Sam Goody store
Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories
and Wii Speak for my Animal Crossing: City Folk

It's amazing that although I prefer games over clothes, I cherish my shirts and jewelry presents the most.

Christmas isn't entirely over for me yet, since it takes about a week or two to fully meet/exchange gifts with the whole family.

But so far, here's the damage:
-ski gloves and skate-ski gloves...that perfectly FIT (trust me, that part was a surprise, my hands are large and my fingers are annoyingly proportioned)
-various edible items
- Stress putty (a.k.a. industrial strength silly putty that you can squeeze the s*** out of when stressed/angry/bored...etc)
-$100...in the form of a $100 bill
- $10...in the form of a check
- $25 amazon.com gift card
- $50 Radioshack gift card
- $25 Barnes & Nobles gift card
- a cooling pad for my laptop
- a nice multimeter so I don't have to keep borrowing them from the school's engineering department.

Hmm, reminds me of those iron-on names that came with my copy of Breaking Dawn, on one side I'm tempted to stick it onto a shirt so I can walk around with my name on my chest, and on the other side looking like an idiot isn't a very attractive prospect one you think about it.

Well I still have to wait for The Three Kings holiday to come around, but this is what I got thus far.

Poster Frame. (have to exchange it because its too big)
Towel. (my sister gave a complete set to the entire family)
The Dark Knight.
Cloverfield
The Flobot CD
Gorillaz Demon Days CD.
$10
EDIT: Oh and I also got $100, but I have to give that up sadly because I have to pay the Bright House bill. :(

Thats about it for now, I also got a tip that I was gonna be getting all the Alien movies.

The recession hit my family really hard, so Christmas was pretty thin. I think it's going to stay that way.

But, here's the damage:

1 - 14" copper bowl. Mom really hit it out of the park with this one. I asked for one but I was expecting/planning for one about half this size. And it's really good because I can fold batters, mousses and meringues in it! This is a combination Christmas/birthday prezzie.

1 - 7x50 power binoculars, suitable for my new hobby of stargazing. I was able to see the numbers on the comm towers 25 miles away. I'll be able to see Jupiter and the Witch Head Nebula with these suckers. I can't wait for a clear night to try them out!

And a jar of Burt's Bees daily moisturizing lotion and a carrot complexion bar.

I got some wonderful gifts

2 Mission-Wolf shirts (I was so happy! :D I always need more MW stuffs!)
a laminator I asked my grandmother for
snow leopard print satin pajamas (woot!)
a beautiful chain mail choker with a Celtic knot from my uncle
weird Mexican cookies and freeze-dried eggs for backpacking from my Dad (he gets me weird food and I get him ugly fishing lures)
A wolf calendar from my Mom's friend
a dvd organizer and wii remote accessories from the mate's parents
and various smaller fun stuff

Then Daniel and I went in together to buy ourselves a wii.

What I gained for my birthday:

- A silver celtic knot pendant and a matching chain.

- An Xbox Live year's subscription. This is where that new HD TV comes in!

- Rechargeable xbox controller batteries, and a new headset.

I'm really lucky in terms of the recession. Neither of my parents are at risk of losing their job -- they're just not getting any raises this year.
