The argument between male/female werewolf fans has been brought up too many times. Although this poll has been conducted in the past, I figure a new one will allow us to know the ratio of active forum contributers/visiters at this point in time.

(I know there's trans, gender ambigious, queer, adrogynous people and the like. My apologies for lumping you all under 'other.')

My high school gym teacher is always telling us boys to "check our gender".

Since I've been missing the functional parts for the better part of three years, I guess that's the closest approximation to saying, "I'm female." [/geek]

Sex is whether you're actually born male or female.

Gender is what sex you identify as. Some people identify as the opposite gender, others identify as neither. I like to leave that option open, because I'm not fond of gender roles myself.

I'm too confused to commit to any archetypes though, beyond simply stating the biological alignment.

Male here, though I think I can say with authority that I'm 50% female.

Did you know that males are the only gender that can produce an actual opposite-gender clone, since females will need to obtain the Y chromosome from an outside source? Just an interesting scientific fact.

I think you've somehow just managed to answer one of the more complicated questions of life, there, Fig!

They say that during pregnancy, the fetus is female during half of the development process. It becomes male eventually if the genetics command it to. Interesting?

So it's the presence of a Y chromosome that makes one male! Don't believe me? People who have XXY chromosomes are always male.

...On another note, it's the opposite for pigeons. XX is male, and XY is female.

And that's about the extent of my weird genetic knowledge.

Female here. I was actually expecting there to be more women. I’ve seen polls on other art or animal loving sites where the membership is, like, 95% female. I guess guys just love werewolves.

Yeah, art websites like Deviantart appear to be dominated by females. Whereas I've been on various gaming forums which tend to be predominately male.
