In seconds, Surge was infront of Alythe, hand fully stretched outwards to the side. " Relax. They are with me. If you have a problem that, I can humiliate you again." Surge smirked, "and you would hate that now, wouldn't you?"

Kayne opened his eyes, annoyed. "Probably," he said, standing up from the rather uncomfortable passenger's chair. He stretched and sleepily walked to an open window.

He sniffed the air gently blowing through it and quickly found what he needed. He returned to the human, "they've gone eastward somewhere. I couldn't tell how far, though."

Brotherhood of the wolves? I relaxed, letting my hands drift away from my knives. Sighing, I rolled my shoulders, feeling a dull ache begin to creep up on my temples. Jeez, what was going to happen to us next?

alythe was gratefull for surge's actions. bringing the pup to the werewolf that had adressed her she said, "sir, im terribly sorry to say that your sister is dead. she was captured by the hr soldiers and was killed by them. we found your niece unharmed, but malnutritioned at the scene. it was my idea to bring her back to the brotherhood of wolves and drop her off here so that she would be safe."

the werewolf lowered his bow and nodded, tears now streaming down his face. he nodded to another werewolf standing at his side and the other led the pup away.

turning back to alythe (the fire around her paws had dissappeared by now) he said, "thank you for bringing my niece back to us. my sister's death will be mourned by all as she was well known by all. it is a tragedy that she died like that, but im glad that her pup has survived. we can hunt for her here and ill raise her. thank you again for returning my sister's pup to us."

Surge lowered his arm. This matter seemed to be dealt with.

I rolled my neck, feeling the tendons pop. I noticed one of the other werewolves was watching me closely. Was it a female? The wolf's eyes quickly darted to my stomach and back up again. Oh geez.

(sorry for my inactivity - been away for a funeral)

Something didn't seem right. Surge could tell, and he knew that Wolfward, Archangel and Dusten could tell as well if they were there, but what? Surge scanned the area. where had the entire Human Regime forces gone?!

Fang rested his paw on Alythe's shoulder. "i'am glad that the little one is now safe with the brotherhood." he said, remembering how they had found her. It really bothered him that the HR had just suddenly disapeared and fang had a feeling that they were planing some thing.

"So,sister...we still have the HR and the demon that was released from within Surge to deal with, and i would like it if you would concider staying here with the brotherhood."

The HR was suddenly off the map? That couldn't have been right. I growled lowly under my breath, eyes scanning the horizon. My eyes flicked to Surge's face before returning to scanning. What I had seen there could not have been a good sign.

alythe sighed at her brothers request.

"my brother i lost my family once, i will not lose my family again. i wont stay here. my place is with you. i hope you understand. i will stick with you through thick and thin, and protect yo with all my pyro energy i can muster. we lost our parents, i dont want us to lose each other."

Surge turned away from the brotherhood of wolves, as well as everyone else. Carefully so no one would notice, he pulled out a small device. Clicking the button three times, he put it away. The situation was becoming dire.
Everyone, continue as you will. I fear for my son and my apprentice. They have been gone too long. I shall be back shortly." Surge began to walk back to the location he had left Archangel and Dusten, neither slowing nor turning.

I shivered lightly, rubbing my arms as fast as I could. Was it cold or was it just me? I hurried over to the wolf who had glanced at me earlier. I bowed at the waist in a formal greeting. Hopefully, this would work.

OOC: since it seems no-one's starting to post again, i guess i'll go.

Surge hurried back to find Dusten and Archangel, to find the room empty. Something wasn't right. Surge approached the area Enir had died, to find the corpse gone. Shocked, Surge glanced at the scene that had once been a massacred squad of elite wolves. They too, were gone.

Surge ran back out to the others, when the ground began to tremble. Surge knew he wouldn't make it to the group in time.
"EVERYONE!" Surge roared, "GET DOWN!!!"

Ground? Trembling? Oh so not good. I threw myself to the ground as Surge had ordered, covering myself as best I could.

"What is going on?" I yelled.

Surge, too, got down on to the ground.

"The regime seems to be pretty desperate! They're using a secret weapon, developed for a case of a massive onslaught. Its a vortex for the doomed - the dead are sucked in, powering it. Then, it uses that energy to be used for more useful products. In short, a body harvester. The only difference is this one was modified to be a weapon. the bodies of the dead can power a massive wave of energy to destroy the enemies of those who possess it!"

alythe looked up and saw the devastating machine. mustering all thhe energy she had she sent her biggest blast of fire at it, but only managed to cripple it. that would give everyone time to escape. but alythe collapsed onto the ground, having used up all her energy. now it was her turn for needing help

I turned to find Alythe collapsed onto the ground. How was it that someone always needed help? Growling, I crawled over to her, grabbing her under the arms.

"Okay hon, push with your feet, because I can't lug you around all by myself." I grunted, beginnning to pull her towards cover.
