Do you Howl? And if so, when? :howl: :oo

I howl when I need a good booste of Wolf energy, or to release my inner wolf when I feel it needs to be let out.

I'm too timid and shy to actually howl out loud... but it would be fun. The urge builds inside, and I sometimes let it out as a small whine or a muffled squeal, but not a howl.

One day, I'm going to go out on my own and howl like there's no tomorrow.

I don't howl for the same reason that wolves don't talk. :)

Only when I stub my toe or have to pay bills lol. Seriously though, howling out loud in front of people who don't know you would be embarassing. Can you imagine the strange looks that you would get?

Every time I see the moon......and I growl a lot too. I make people stare at me, it's kinda awkward sometimes... but I like it. Makes me feel like the lone wolf that we are all in this human society.

I howl when there is no other way to express my feelings.
I howled when my best canine friend passed away. :(
There are some times when words just don't cut it.

I know that Wolves howl, though I don't usually have the chance to get away with that where I live. Though mabye releasing my inner Wolf would be good. :)

I howled, rather jokingly, once with a friend of mine.

but I'm not much of a howler myself -- I like to stay on the DL.

I've only howled a couple of times. Specifically, once, twice, maybe three times max. But it was for the sake of leaving the realm of the socially accepted. You know, just to do something completely out of the norm. Otherwise, I don't feel compelled to howl at all.

I howl when I feel any extreme emotions. Love, Hate, Anger, The full moon, joy...the list goes on. I howl with dogs sometimes, but I freak them out. One time, I howled and got an answer back.

I tend to defenest--howl. Howl. I tend to howl.

This is usually because I have a Samoyed who likes to 'talk' and howl. By talk I mean very vocal sounds that aren't barking, curious 'aroo's, to the hello-like 'awoowow', and so on. I spend a lot of time with him, so I've picked up lots of body language and sounds, and along with my knowledge of canines and Wolves in general, he's a lot more cooperative with me than anyone he knows.

So I tend to do a lot with him, and when he howls I usually howl along, and sometimes, on rare occasions, I'll just feel like howling, and whenever I do he joins in as well (without fail). It's much more fun than having to howl alone, I'll say that.

It's hard not to howl when a whole pack of wolves takes up the song around you. We have a New Years party every year where we howl in the new year, and I think we did it at Tundra's funeral as well. Then there's just the everyday howling. There are a couple of the wolves that give a soft howl when they see you as a greeting, and I kind of howl back in immitation. Then there are times when they all just start up for no given reason, and I usually join in.

I do some private howling too. In the car, or when I feel particularly emotional, possitive or negative. After a hard run through the forest I usually howl when the blood is pumping through my ears. Can't say I've done much with other people though. Once my friends were playing some attrocious music and screeming along with it. They invited me to screem too, so I howled then instead. Oh, and once I went on a moonlight hike and heard a coyotee howl. I answered. Think that's it for my howling history.
