Happy Birthday, Vuldari

Last night, the forum said Aug 5th, but it still said 'None' under birthdays (I was looking because I knew it was Vuldari's birthday)... It looks like it's working now; I don't know why it wasn't then.Lupin wrote:The first in-production test of the birthday mod, and it works great! Go me.

You're not in the same time zone as the server.
More clarification: Where I inserted the code to pull the birthdays from the user table, I wasn't sure if the board had pulled the time zone information from the viewing user's profile, and so I just used date().

My timezone doesn't matter.Lupin wrote:You're not in the same time zone as the server.
Ah, okay. The forum is going by UTC, while date() is going by the server's timezone, which would explain the noted offset.Lupin wrote:More clarification: Where I inserted the code to pull the birthdays from the user table, I wasn't sure if the board had pulled the time zone information from the viewing user's profile, and so I just used date().

Oh, I had assumed that you changed the timezone offset in your profile, which is why I said 'your timezone'.Vilkacis wrote: My timezone doesn't matter.

Ah, yes, I see it now -- I had forgotten that option was in there. I have it set to GMT and was thinking, for some reason, that was the forum default. Thus, I misunderstood what you meant by 'my timezone.'Lupin wrote:Oh, I had assumed that you changed the timezone offset in your profile, which is why I said 'your timezone'.

Don't mind me.
