My Resignation as Admin
Posted: Thu Jun 11, 2009 5:14 pm
I am stepping down from the admin position.
There's no complex reason for this beyond being incapable of staying active enough on these forums. Administrators are expected to be intelligent with good common sense, mature, unbiased, and above all... actively participating day-to-day. The admin title is not a badge to decorate an account with, or an excuse to be more popular by any means. It is to show people who to go to when help is needed. I recognize this fact, and have done all that I could in the past couple of years to meet what is expected of an administrator up until this point. I am far too preoccupied with everyday life to meet those expectations anymore. Even when I'm not busy, I am participating in activities far from the internet, video games, and what I can call "indoor laziness".
I have successfully moved back to Arlington in Texas, and am searching frantically for a job. There are no big leads yet, but a temp-to-hire job should be starting with me soon. I've also became very active with the local furry groups, a costume performers troupe, and keeping up with many friends both old and new. Hopefully I'll find my niche here and not have to move back to New Mexico, but I'm confidant overall.
At this time I ask that my role as administrator be demoted to moderator. Also, I propose that we vote a willing and capable moderator into the position of administrator. I will still be around the forums on a weekly basis.
Good day.
