avatar problems

I keep trying to update my avatar, but I keep getting them flagged as attack vectors. :? Help?

iirc this happens if you try to upload a PNG, it has done this every time for my avatars when in PNG format.

If you host it on an external service, like Imageshack and such, then link directly to the image, it shouldn't throw the error.

Another trick I've used is to put the image into Office and change it from png to jpeg or jpeg 2. The compy does all the work and then things upload just fine...as long as they meet Avvie standards here for size and kb count.

I also find it helps to have the same DNA as your brother whom the Avatar was originally grown from. Oh wait....

Yeah, my wife and I have Avatar problems as well. I've seen it eight times already.

That's actually what I had been doing, but I was still getting errors that way too.

So I've tried uploading a jpg directly. Still too early to tell if that's settled things, but I'll update here again if it doesn't.

i found that the picture has to be a certain size... just saying, but it really does make a difference :)
