I know a few werewolves You know some werewolves?! You have to introduce us! Are you one yourself? How much of the information is correct on this forum? Is the shapeshifting ability learnable or transferable? Out with the answers, man! You've just made all this speculation pale in comparison to you...

Of course a huge amount of their culture would spring from thier human side. As for influence from the pack, I think that would depend on if the packs are in comunication with eachother. If they have a way of chatting (like conventions or forums) then thier culture would be homogenous with small var...

Good point. As far as muscles go though, I'm not entierly sure. I don't think you should be bulging just because you got bitten; that just doesn't seem right. But I'm not sure if you'd have to work out your forms seperatly or if the muscles are the same. For instance, if you were to work your abs in...

Well, the law of conservation of mass says that stuff can't be created or destroyed. So unless you're getting your mass from somewhere else, the total mass of the werewolf should be equal to the total of the human's. Of course there are ways around this, such as taking/dispelling mass from the surro...

Memory Alteration

I was thinking; in many stories involving a colosal clandestine comunity, it's inevitable that someone will eventually descover the secret of their existance that can't hold their tongue. So should werewolves have some way of altering the memory to keep their secret? It could be magical, as in Harry...

Maybe there'd be a splotch of dye on his head, where his hair would be in his human form. So the rest of his coat would be fine, but for that.

WHAR Wolf Rescue

Ok, I started volunteering at a wolf animal rescue in Paso Robles, CA. We have dogs, wolves, and hybrids, most rescued from owners who couldn't handle the rigors of keeping a wolf. We're a grass-roots organization, and obviously it takes a lot of kibble and raw chicken to feed our 19 animals, so if ...

As anxious as I am to become a werewolf, I can't see myself doing it through science. It just...doesn't seem right. I wont be doing any rituals either though, so unless I wake up a werewolf one morning, I don't think I'll be one any time soon. But I want to be one so badly...it's like a twisting yea...

Why not? Is it any more fantastical to be able to transform into a wolf than a jellyfish? Or, with our inflated human egos, do we assume that nothing but the strongest or cleverest predetors are worthy of being werecreatures? Just because something isn't as desirable doesn't mean you should call it ...

How tragic it would be if a werecat gave birth to a weremouse. But I'm sure maternal love would conquer instincts! Wouldn't that make a cute story?

Not all cultures display werewolves as good but not bad either. Like kitsunes, who were notoriously tricky, or weredolphins that seduced women. They weren't bloodthirsty beasts, but they weren't exactly helpful either

Well, what if the werekin was solitary by nature? Most felines assemble only to mate, and then the female raises the young and then goes back to being solitary. They'd scorn being in a pack, saying that anything that had to rely on others was weak. And the Catholics said that wolves were demonic bec...

I remember an elaborate ritual involving the whole town. The enitre town takes the bound werewolf(no idea how they get him bound) up to a raised place (hill, mesa, ext.). yah, but an adict isn't going to worry about that sort of thing. He'd be a huge threat to werewolf society. And, if they take after real wolves, a threat to the whole must be eliminated.
