Re: New things
I could always spend another 8 hours or so converting the bsrf layout, but by then we'll probably even have a newer layout yet.

Re: IMPROVEMENTS!
This is definitely a topic worth while. I always enter the forums through the front page, and I've felt rather disapointed by the unfinished state the website has remained in ever since it's first conception. I totally support: A New layout. Yes. Yes. News . Admins/Moderators should have access to ...

Re: Planned downtime
I just noticed the new layout (I needed to do a double take as well) and it looks great. Actually it was supposed to look as close to the current layout at possible (but I didn't really hesitate to get every little page exactly how it is), also this isn't really the new layout. I just figured I'd g...

Re: New Name
Actually there's really no difference between your two accounts so a secondary isn't necessary. Otherwise we could have just adjusted your username if desired. It must be a problem with either your ISP (in case if they use a special caching proxy) or your browser.

New things
Now that we've upgraded to phpBB 3, we have a little more availability of what we can do with the forum. We can have custom fields in the profile, we can have subforums (a board inside of board), we can now put attachments on the posts, we can make our own BBCode tags, we can embed flash animations ...

Re: Planned downtime
Well, now it's all finally converted (or at least for the most part). Apparently it looks like a couple avatars are missing, but I'll work on that as well (SO DON'T RE-UPLOAD YOUR AVATAR, it'll be fixed). And I guess I'll have to transfer the birthdates and genders as well. Otherwise for the whole c...

As you notice the forum wasn't upgraded yet because I was having hell last night and ran out of time. Last night I got to have a series of the following happen to me (of bad luck): My own internet connection completely dying for 30 minutes right before I was ready to upload the converted data The co...

Planned downtime
Tonight the forum will finally be upgraded to phpBB 3. This is planned to occur at 2am Eastern, 1 am Central, 12am Mountain, 11pm Pacific. During this period the forum will be disabled thus inaccessible. We can do the conversion process live without anyone being able to notice, however it would put ...

http://blimptv.blogspot.com/2007/11/vista-sucks.html (parody video) Otherwise I heard that there was the whole hardware incompatibility and stability issue case when Windows XP originally came out as well. Otherwise the reason why XP is more stable currently is because XP has gone through 7 years of...

Oh oh! And be sure to also upgrade to Windows 7 , which is supposed to be an expedite release that's going to not have the problems that Vista has which is coming out in about 2 years already (hint: this is why I'm not wasting money on Vista since I'm just waiting for Windows 7). :P My current compu...

Welcome to The Pack! So you plan to go into wildlife photography and cinematography as a career? Sounds interesting. I take it that you have an SLR camera? I have a Nikon D50 that I usually use, which is probably my 3rd camera I've used. I'm mostly paid for taking pictures of backyard waterscapes, b...

Wouldn't you have to pay for hosting though since I haven't really found anything involving hosting it ourselves. Otherwise it seems like a decent idea. I've never actually used Second Life myself (*gasp*, they have a Linux version! *uses it*). Ironically it seems that they have open source protocol...

Its been over a month. Has there been any progress on the site? Maul me with a messy shoe, I haven't been able to keep up with all my work. Of course, I think at least a few of the 1300+ registered members may be Spam-Bots. Not intending to seem like a racist profiler, but Spam-Bots are sometimes real deadbeats, so the rest of us may have to take up the slack, raising our proposed pledges to $5000 a piece or so. Heh, can you guess what...

I love being me because I can spend a whole weekend doing software development, yet be able to run 7 minutes and 36 seconds for a mile run (could do better though...). I love being me because I magically manage to make procrastination work out (though I blame work on it, so sometimes I wouldn't cons...

Once or twice by my mother in reference to my putting off getting a haircut. Thankfully it's one of the few things she's called me just once or twice and not so much that the meaning of the word is completely lost thanks to her. Same. Other than that, I haven't really been called one at all. Nobody...
