well, I managed to get some video and some low-quality pictures....my actual film camera and telescope have gone missing. :x  video, sped up so it's only about 5 minutes long. (ONLY after the moon was largely in the shadow, my camcorder won't autofocus when it's too bright :/): http://youtube.c...

that....didn't really answer my question.... if they can't stop running for too long and use up too much energy while in "panic-shift-mode".....what happens? Would their body go through with the shift *just* at that point of no return, even if they are STILL running away from danger.... O...

that....didn't really answer my question.... if the person undergoes a panic shift, there's no SUREFIRE way to know exactly how long it will take them to get to that point of "percieved safety"... and thus NO SUREFIRE WAY of knowing how much energy will be used between their "panic sh...

well...then what if it takes more energy than they thought it would to get out of harms way and fully shift? In other words...while fleeing in panic-shift mode, is there a "point of no return"? When they reached that point, would they just have no choice but to go through with the rest of ...

wait....so how far would a panic-shift go? Would it be just enough to immediately enhance strength and speed, and then they would have no choice but to find safety and go through the entire shift, or can they shift directly back to human form from a panic-shift? i.e....is the panic-shift an exceptio...

ok....i don't think religion is necessarily a bad thing. It serves a function of instilling morals in society. This is a big reason for many religions existing in the first place...it's a deeper layer of "authority" to give people more of a reason to follow the rules, beyond the mere risk ...

Mine too, and they definitely are a pain in the arse. They're actually coming in straight, but they're making the rest of my teeth even more crooked... and they're supposedly set too far back to pull without dislocating my jaw, which the dentist doesn't want to bother doing unless it's absolutely ne...

well...no. You can't have a change in mass. The total mass of your body can't INCREASE unless you eat something. Your body doesn't store pure energy, it stores fuel in the form of different materials in the body, such as fat or protein. It then CONVERTS these materials into other materials to run di...

yeah but if you're specifically trying to come up with an even scientifically plausible explanation for the transformation, magic will unfortunately have to be thrown out the window. You sure it would be 1 1/2 to 2 times the normal Calorie intake? Given the circumstances that sounds low.... I mean, ...

true... but here's a question to ask. Would a seal watching another seal playing with its food consider it cruel? Or would one of the wolves in the pack find it unfair when the Alpha kills to maintain power? Or would they just accept it as the way things are and not even think about it. There's real...

True... interesting to think about. There are advantages to those aspects that separate us from the rest of the animal kingdom, but there's definitely drawbacks. Mankind might be leaps and bounds above the animal kingdom on so many levels....but with all our complexities arises a tremendous capacity...

yeah actually you're right i believe... most of the time hair won't grow on scars... sometimes it WILL turn it white though... I have a scar on my chin from when I was about 8 and had a rather spectacular bike accident (the front wheel came off as I was going down a gravel driveway at about 30 mph)....

Let's look at the other side, here. Suppose that the kid gets their wolf teeth before they can shift; as in suppose that the baby teeth are replaced by adult- and decidedly Wolflike teeth. Then braces make sense. They remind the child not to open too wide, and they act as a distraction should the w...

I play marimba in the school band and the vibraphone in the jazz band and one of the jazz combos, then I play piano in another school jazz combo. Then apart from those, I play guitar, clarinet, bass clarinet, I can kinda plunk something out on the bass, and I sorta know how to play the flute because...
