Well, they did, kinda:ABrownrigg wrote:They can't identify it.. which is the odd thing.. some kind of hybrid..
Funky looking hybrid though. Maybe that's what happens when you breed a wolf with one of the less... wolfish looking breeds of dogs. So it looks all funkeh. In the end, wildlife officials got a DNA analysis that showed the animal was a rare wolf-dog hybrid, he said.
Funny looking critter, if'n nothing else.

I got to agree with Aki, here. The thing looks funny, in a weird-sorta way.
Err... and this is where I forgot if I had anymore to say about this.
*shrugs*
Probably not anything intelligent anyway.

I was just about to post an article about this too. Bet me too it
Very strange. Like a wolf and elk head mixed toghter or something. If it is really is a wolf-dog mix, it must of been one of those weirder breds.
(Though we all know its really a werewolf of course. Government cover up with that DNA test and all )

Oh no...not again.
Sorry...but I can't stand reading stories like that.
A simular case happened here where I live.
A rancher shot and killed an animal near his ranch.
http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/metro/ ... 166e4.html
It caused a big stir in his town and people started wondering what the animal was.
Some say its a chupacabra. Others just can't place it.
Then this story comes out.
http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/metro/ ... fe014.html
We rarely see animals in bad condition because they don't live long enough in order for us to see them.
Each animal species has thier birth defects. Ever seen a giraffe with a very short neck? Will he survive after being born? Its possible.
Humans can suffer from birth defects. Or a disease can do something to our body that'll make us look hideous.
Why is it when it happens to an animal, the humans go crazy and start a big stir?
I just can't stand it.

You beat me to it! I was just coming on to post this LOL
Poor thing was so villafied. There has been hybrids in the state before. I don't see why a local (if they were so curious) didnt pack the animal off to a lab themselves. They said no one would come out to look at it.
But DNA from a similiar animal in the past proved to be a wolf hybrid.
I can't see attributing the animal to be "evil" just because it was trying to survive.
And it does look like it has Chow in it, whatever the mix might be.

MMMMM.............that is an odd looking creature.
It must have been a powerful animal to kill a doberman and a Rottweiler.
I mean, even though it looks smaller, it has to be strong to take down those kind of dogs.

I could care less if I am a "freak". I don't care what other people think about me. I am me. I am different from the masses of society in unique and profound ways, anyway. Being physically different would trouble me not
