Ok, Vuldari. I have an idea. I want to dodge a duckie and have it go by the wolf's head very fast. I want it to ruffle up the fur as it does.

Here is an example from this looney comic.
5th picture. top row.

The one where the humans go "GAHHHH..."

Think its possible? I was trying to mess with the animation with no luck.

Sure it's possible...just really tricky to make it look right.
Keep this in mind though.
The wolfs face is completey coverd in fur, (The Fur is really all that you see), so if it is "ruffled", the apparent shape of the face will be warped. Don't try to draw individual hairs blowing in the breeze...it just wont look right on a 40x40 pixel image, since each hair would have to be a full pixel in width. Try instead to just warp the face to one side and then snap-back again.

I would do it myself, but after spending almost six hours on the wagging animation (and I'm still not satisfied...the motion isn't smooth enough, and the tail should have a wider sweep.), I really need to get back to other things (like moving into a new appartment).

Hmmm......Well, I guess I won't mess with it then.

As for your tail wagging icon, it looks fine to me. Its going to take a while to recolor each frame to match my avatar.

That's partly why it took so long. When I made it, I started by making a colorless silluette of the wagging motion to see if it looked right, then I colored it in with four completely different color patterns and compared them to find the one that looked the most natural...and after all that, I decided to stick with the first one. All the rest were just wasted time...

If you ask me, you did a really good job on it.

I was scratching my head wondering how a person can grab a program for the 1st time and come up with good edits. I was thinking "Gee, Vuldari MUST have some type of talent."

Anyways, I like tails. I love them even more when its wagging!! Thanks for putting your time and effort into making that icon. Sure wish you did it as Figarou so I won't have recolor it myself.
