Re: Would you get a real tail?
I already had one. And 23 minutes (give or take) after I was born it was gone.KitsuneKit wrote:If you could get a fully functioning tail that is completely controlable and looks anyway you want it. Would you get one? What would it look like?
If the Doctor had left it, it definitely would have grown into a big beautiful wolf tail. Oh yeah!
..Or maybe just a sick little monkey tail. Mmmm, monkeys...

Well, have fun recoloring it. Took me several hours. I think there is a way to change the colors in all of the frames at the same time. If there is, I like to know.Vuldari wrote:

Actually that got me to thinking, when tails become common (AND THEY WILL) what color do you think people would get?Figarou wrote:Well, have fun recoloring it. Took me several hours. I think there is a way to change the colors in all of the frames at the same time. If there is, I like to know.
I already said what I would like, a big, fluffy, orange fox tail.

I'd definately go for a lupine tail myself - though agreed, I doubt that I could bite the bullet and make that kind of decision with surgery (I mean, along that lines it's a simple procedure to go to a dentist to extend canines, and I haven't done THAT) - but if it was something I could just will/magic into being, certainly
And someone was asking earlier -some people ARE born with small, vestigial tails. They don't look like much - usually just a hairless nub or a small bony thing. Most doctors amputate them on birth.
Unfortunately, if humans still had tails they'd probably look like the closest ancestors that do have tails. Humans are most closely related to apes, that dont' have tails either, and beyond that Cercopithecoid monkeys (Old world monkeys - the ones without prehensile tails) which, if you look at a babboon, that's probably the closest it would be ^^; .

A black wolf tail for me. Not too poofy or shaggy though. But yeah... I dunno if I'd work up the guts (or the money) to actually go and get the surgery neccessary for it. (Or we could go with magic... magic is always good.)
Though if I think you look at it in an evolutionary way, yeah it'd probably look more like that of a monkey's. Though human beings are more closely related to apes, which could go into a whole different topic of that we'd than be more closely associated with monkies.
We can get enlongated canines? Where?

You know, we could be related to monkies. Then again, maybe not.
There are genes that lies dormant in our bodies. What those genes do or what they are for is a mystery. I think its best to keep it that way.
Imagine if humans had a gene that is fully functional in baboons. If scientists found a way to turned it on, the human females would probably be walking around with big, red, puffed up butts during thier period!!!
OMG!! I can't believe I just said that!!

Hey those are my funnies!
*Hits Fig with them then reads Garfeild* I really hope not! Periods would be hell!
I don't know where you can get the longer canines but I'd probaly do that, yet I do like my little one growing on one side, I hope it becomes long and sharp to bite people with. (Though I think when I ever get braces it would line it up with the other teeth.)

Get a tail? In a second, Jackson. Where do I sign up?
Don't know exactly what kind, but it would be long enough to counterbalance. I have lower back problems sometimes and having a tail would probably help that a lot.
Probably a thick black tail, like a jaguar's, or maybe a snakelike tail. I wear skirts most of the time so something like this wouldn't be a problem, but sitting on my duff would. I'd probably get a kneeling chair.

A wolf tail would be nice....but I would only want one of those if I could have the body to go with it.
For my human body, I'd like maybe a five foot long prehensile tail. Hairless, but not ugly like a rat tail. Kinda like the tails on the old gargoyles cartoon. I'd want to be able to move it around where I wanted it, be able to grabe stuff with it, and also be able to trip people with it, and hit people with it. Basically I'd like to be able to use it as a third hand, and also a weapon. A nice spike or blade on the end would be nice too.

HHrmn.. I always said I'd like a prehensil tail.., it would help with washing dishes. ^.^ hehe.
I wouldn't mind having a hybrid wolfish prehensil tail. That would be neat.
