Extra Anatomical structures/abilities.

Post by Rhuen »

a thread not so much to say what you do want, or don't want. Although opinions on each others extras is welcomed, at least by me (can't speak on behalf of all you out there after all).

Basically list extra things (not human or wolf) that you have either imagined or have seen put in the werewolf.

a few from me.

The unhindging collar bone: mistaken for a wish bone in the collar bone thread. I have it listed there what this is exactly, my latest post at this time describes it as best I can think to describe it. Bascially a structure to aid in both effective biped and quadraped stances.

Venom: not really necisary or makes too much sense, but I added this idea in its own thread a little ways back as an alternative to clinical madness. Basically the bite doesn't change a person or any creature but containes an hallucinigen that causes the victim to go insane. This is intended to insure that even escaped prey will become lost and confused and lash out at others of its own kind to keep it isolated from its group. Basically not all would think they would become werewolves but some might, think a psychological thriller with a bried werewolf cameo for this one.

Infrared sight: I have seen this used alot actually. in many werewolf movies and shows with werewolves in them they show things from the werewolf's point of view, I realized they were showing infrared. which wolves don't have. But sensing heat signatures would be helpful to a predator, but its not something wolves have naturally.

I've seen them put plenty of rediculous "extras" on a werewolf. I, personally, don't include anything in my werecreatures that isn't in the "foundations", those being human and wolf in this case. If you don't find it in the anatomy of either you won't find it in my weres.

Modified collarbone: yeah, sure, why not. Those other two are too far off in my opinion, though. If you extend its range of color vision further into the infrared and ultraviolet, I guess that's okay; but I prefer to have the ultraviolet rather than the infrared because A: infrared is just SO irritatingly commonplace in such things and B: birds can see ultraviolet light and use ultraviolet light colors as markers, so being able to see it would be good for a werewolf or anything else.

I don't see any other special modifications except possibly a better foot/hand structure specifically for the gestalt form. I prefer to have the gestalt form of any were creature be as mcuh a combination of both forms with very little "extra" stuff added in.

Some from relatives of the wolf I have dabbled with the idea of.

Webbed paws: like a Labrador has, maybe something for great Lake or river system breeds of werewolves to aid them in swimming.

Sight Touch: like a Racoon, sensitive paw pads that are so sensitive that they can practically see what they touch.

Jackobson's organ(I think this is the proper organ): Like a cat, an organ in the roof of the mouth that allows them to taste the air, aiding to their sense of smell but not takeing away from it.
