Quake: Werewolf. You can choose from claws, bites, or throwing duckies. Everyone can use pre-rigged wolf characters ( there are existing ones out there ) and we can make PACK themed levels. The chaos would be wonderful

*blinks* Whaaaaat?
Sounds interesting. Sorry I cant help. I have absolutly no skills with the computer, well not for makign video games or coding anyway.
Sounds fun though. You could make the werewolf trying to get passed everything so he/she could see the Freeborn movie in time.
Oooh...and maybe the pack necklace could be earned and used as a weapon. Just ignore me...

nah But I think this is a great idea, Anubis has been trying to make something like this for the longest time.

Hmmm......Maybe after defeating my character, he can be "unlocked" so you can play as him. I would like that.

A mortal Kombat sidegame comes to mind...have the top (10/20/30?) posters in the forum (who want it) be unlockable, and use then to both play as a character, and compete in mortal combat.Figarou wrote:Hmmm......Maybe after defeating my character, he can be "unlocked" so you can play as him. Hmm...
Edit:
Question: What type of theme do you want to have this? Modern? Fantasy? Etc? (Personally, either of those would work for me.)
Another thing: Any suggestions on a non-corporate antagonist?
You can run, you can hide, but I'll still pounce on you and lick you silly.

Modding a game is harder then you might think. A very good knowledge of scripting and Hammer/Quake-Radiant is a must. Plus you'r really gonna need a s*** of patience and motiviation, wich I doubt anyone here has. When working on this with one ore 2 person(s), it will be very unlikely that you will get any spare time/sleep the next few months working on that project.
I'm not trying to dismiss the idea though. I love videogames, and I always will be, but developing a game is really stressfull and really not 'relaxed' in any way. I.e: a simple program running on Windows easily consists of 6 monitors long of scripting-language, so imagine how much scripting you will need to run a entire game.
Besides that, I will keep supporting projects like this though. You will sure have my entire respect when you succeed with it, thats for sure!
