How lucky can you get!!

Post by Figarou »

Last night I went to Wal-mart to get a few things I needed. After that, I went to Exxon to put fuel in my pickup. I asked the sales clerk for any $2 scratch off ticket. (Only one ticket) He said, "For $1 more, you can try this new $3 ticket." I said...."Oh, why not." Paid the guy and started walking out to my truck scratching the ticket.

I scratched off the winning #s needed to win 1st. Then I scratched the play area. I noticed one of the winning #s right away. The amount said $25 below it. Then another winning # appeared, and another, and still yet another!! WOOT!!! $200 total!!! And I only bought 1 ticket!!!

Image

I turned around and went back inside. I handed the clerk $20 and said.. "This is for you!!" The ticket you sold me is a $200 winner!! He said..... "F***ing A!!! Thanks!!"

Edit

Corrected grammer.

Removed pic. I think enough people seen it by now.

Wow, that's awesome. Congratulations.

I generally don't bother with those things myself. Although, back when I worked at Pizza Hut, the store manager would give out a couple of those $2 scratch-type tickets to a random employee every month.

I suppose I was pretty lucky in that the money I won over the 2 1/2 years I worked there averaged out to be about what he put into them. He usually encouraged us to use any money we won to buy more, but I always pocketed it instead.

I only buy one, maybe 2 tickets every so often. Normally, I either lose or get what I paid for back. (Buying a $2 ticket, winning $2)

Hey, Congrats Figarou! I buy one from time to time for the heck of it if i'm feeling particularly fortunate, and in general I tend to get back what I put into them, but not much more :3

And that's great timing right before the con!

Well, what do you know!!

A new lottery ticket came out called "Texas road trip" Its a $5 ticket. I normally stay away from those because I hate it when I lose $5 so quickly compared to a $1 ticket.

N E who. I decided to buy one because I plan on taking a road trip up to Dallas for Project A-kon. I won $100!!

Woot!! Image

My hotel room is now free!! I really needed the money because I plan on leaving there with lots of stuff. The room I'm staying in is $135 a night. (staying 2 nights.) Now I can be able to buy stuff without the worries of using funds thats meant for bills.

Lucky, lucky you!

But I would warn against buying them more often just because you've won a few times.

I'm not buying any more lottery tickets thats over $1 until after A-kon is over. I'm going to need every cent for the trip up there and for food.

Normally I buy the $1 scratch off when I happen to have an extra dollar to spare. Sometimes I buy a $2 ticket.

I lucked out with the $3 ticket in my 1st post. I was forced to buy that one. Glad it was a big winner.

I was pressing my luck with the $5 ticket. I either lose or win back what I paid for. Sure could use the extra $100 to go with the $200 I already won. :D

Wow. Don't tell anyone I know about your run of good luck Fig. What you won this week is what some of my family members spend on tickets a week. :P

It'll be nice if I can win more than $200. Thats the highest I won so far on one ticket. I wish I can win several thousand $.

Whats the "n" for?

Or did you mean to say.."What are you buying now?"

Nothing actually. Going to save it for A-kon.
