How did you spend your New Years Eve?
What did you do to celebrate? Did you get to kiss anyone? What are your resolutions?
Me and my mate watched the parade go by and then the fireworks across the street at 12. Though when it turned twelve I was actually watching several types of deer on Fig's Africa cam. Got to kiss my mate..yay!
No resolutions yet...how about you?

I was alone on my balcony. I saw shooting stars, flares, crackers, fireworks shows from there, heard good music a few houses down, just me at midnight and 1am, alone, smelling the breeze, seeing the beautiful night sky and the view below, watching drunk people come home, it was absolutely gorgeous and I wouldn't swap it for any other New Years I could have had! (I was invited to places, I was too tired though, and I've drunk enough alcohol I think for a bit haha).
Resolutions:
- Get this job at the guitar school (I only teach privately right now)
- Do well at Uni cause Im lazy.
- Get uni assignments done early (Pfft I better stick to it this year)
- Get a lot done with this band I've started to form with a friend.
- Go interstate to see Chili Peppers with Andy
- Save up and buy lots of music accessories
- Purchase a bunch of stuff for Steph's charity project
- Some other things!
Etc etc etc etc etc !!! Ill think of more, Im sure.

i spent it being awesome.
oh wait, i spend eryday like that.
what did i do special? i went to Catholic mass and i went to my mum's American Baptist church and I went to this comedy show at about 6 or so, then i went to this wicked party at my bud sam's house. we played video games, drank tons of who knows what (i don't really know if i got sparkling cider or sum kinda alcohol... i didn't rekanize the taste) we shot fireworks, we almost got ran over a couple times, i dressed up as a tiger (for serious... no one thinks it weird for me to dress up as a tiger... lol! now i jus need a wolf outfit!) we listened to sum kick butt music, and we partied all over!
nah, i didn't kiss anybody, but i don't gots a girlfriend, and i'm not married or anything (yeah, i gots no mate... you lucky ducks!) and i dunno that any1 there is really interested in me at all (if you catch my drift) so i imagine that coulda been kinda weird if i kissed one of 'em, knamean?

At morning, nothing really. Only washing a load in my retarded LG washing machine (i HATE that machine, long story) At lunch my girlfriend and i took a little promenade outside. It was pretty nice weather. at noon we girlfriend ate at a chinese restaurant. Even later at midnight, we watched the firecrackers, fireworks all the things and drinked some champange. Then we had a little party together. Listening to music until 03.00, when we finally fell asleep.
As today, we just rest and sit at the computer, watching good movie etc. Its nice to be really lazy. My parents visited a few hours ago, trying to help with the LG washing machine problems. Will fix that after the weekend.
All in all; my girlfriend and i had a nice new years eve.

Went to a cousin's house. System-linked a couple of X-boxes and played Halo while the adults tried to get a live feed of the Ball-drop in New York. Didn't work 'cuz the only way to do it on the net required registration or something and TV didn't have cable (or anything that would allow you to watch normal TV...)
So we just played, then drank champagne when the clocks hit twelve.
No kisses. But, it was family so that's a good thing.
Aside from getting my a** kicked alot, it was a pretty good night.

So I'am not the only one who played with those..PariahPoet wrote:Figarou wrote:Heh...people pop fireworks and you blow up stuff?PariahPoet wrote:Spent it blowing up stuff with my mate and his family and my family. Of course kissed him first thing of '07!
Gee...how much damage did you cause?
lol, Daniel and I had target practice on the trees with Roman candles.
Me and my friend Brittany went out side and had a fireworks bonanza, we hot wired like five different bottle rockets together and set them off, it was pretty. Then Roman Candle fight, which is were one person fires first then another tries to see if they can hit that one, if they hit, it makes a really pretty color spectrum, especillay if they are different colors.
I had fun
Don't ever wish for something so foul, there is no excuse to want something like that, so you've made a few mistakes who hasn't So your life is in the crapper right now, that should if anything make you want to work harder to improve your life! What you need is to go out with your friends and have some fun, just don't play pictionary (last time I played my uncle punced me because I pointed to a squigally line and said how is that a gazeebo)i got trashed, pretty much by myself, and then went 2 bed hoping i might've gotten alcohol poisoning and wouldn't wake up to 2007.
no such luck.

I drank overly sweet red wine alone because I was sick and nobody would take me out to party because they were scared they'll contract the damn thing. Or that I'd throw up in the car ride there - which isn't very sporting since I wouldn't even be drunk at that point.
So at home I promptly threw up the first glass of wine I had, deliberately ending my stay-at home celebration. Due to my better judgment I decided to call it a night and bugger off for the evening...
My resolution is to make it to the next New Years celebration in good health and drink heavily at that one to make up for my obvious misfortune this year.

matter of taste yes or no, but champagne is more a prestige thing than anything else IMHO.
For private issues the new year has to prove itself happy before I consider saying the overused
slogan for the turn of the year.
Anyhow, back to the intoxicating liquids: best for celebration is a goddamn nice whisky!
and a good mate to share and drink it, and gears of wars co-op on insane..

Try drinking cheap wine.
I was so yucky the next morning, and yet I still stumbled, with two hungover friends, all the way to buy some chips several kilometers away in the bright sunlight at 11am.
In fact, don't try cheap wine. Stick to the good stuff. Champaigne is good because it gets you drunk fast. I love my vodka, but it doesn't do much for me if I drink it too often.
