I had slow-cooker Cornish game hen tonight. Cooked it in soy-ginger broth, black cherry balsamic and tossed two apples and a handful each of garlic pistachios and almonds in with it. So so so good.
And because I didn't get it going in time, I had a dessert of Portuguese cornbread and Ballymoe brown bread with oats. Slathered in blueberry jam and honey. Little underproofed (note to self: toss the old yeast, get some new stuff, preferably fresh), but the cornbread turned out great. Garnished it with lavender buds, made all the difference. They'll make good bread pudding in a few days.

A couple of gold fish and a lemon square.
I could care less if I am a "freak". I don't care what other people think about me. I am me. I am different from the masses of society in unique and profound ways, anyway. Being physically different would trouble me not

Salmon amondine and jasmine rice cooked in apple juice. An experiment on my part because I'm out of chicken broth (amazingly enough).
A very successful experiment, I might add
Tasty enough to go without needing salt or olive oil.
Drink accompaniment: a smoothie with peaches, berry yoghurt, raspberry, blood orange and straight orange preserves, honey, Green-To-Go powder and milk.

Oooh, that reminds me! Almost time to turn in for the night.
I have liquid Jell-O for a nightcap. As you can imagine, it does wonders for hair, joints and fingernails.

Like that Liquid Jello idea, I may try it.
Tried something new tonight: I took a chicken breast, diced it, and nuked it in some Chicken stock (Home made, out of the freezer) and then tried some tricolor rotini with frozen mixed veggies (Been rushing all day fixing Corned Beef for other people).
Suprise: Since I used fresh, not dried tricolor pasta, I wound up with a very nice meaty Chicken noodle soup.

Well, 'tis time to call it a day. I might try a dribbet of rosewater in my liquid Jell-O tonight. Or maybe some more of that blood orange jam.
Good night to all!

Tonight, we MOST CERTAINLY are not dining in Hell.
On the radio: Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto.
At my side, an unusually polite Fetelbaum Tomokato.
On the plate: Roast cornish game hen w/ walnut-cranberry red smash potatoes and a red delicious apple.
For dessert: A yummilicious berry smoothie.
