Robot Chicken

Post by Dreamer »

Well this is a thread about Robot Chicken, and whether you like it or not. Me, I personally LOVE it!. I kinda wonder though, about why Bill Watterson wasn't more pissed off about the Clavin and Hobbes sketch (http://youtube.com/watch?v=7NMM5eTXsxs). I also wonder why people weren't more offended by the sketch about the mentally retarded detective (http://youtube.com/watch?v=scS_VIKdaHA), although it was funny.

Most of the stuff that Robot Chicken does is just cheap humor, but then there are those few skits that are just drop dead funny.

My fave is the phonecall to Emporer Palpatine from Darth Vader.

It's okay. Gotta love the Real World Horror Icons sketch.

Sometimes they can get a bit depressing--the "where are they now?" skit about the Muppets band, for example. For the most part, I've found it hillarious.

Some people might be easily offended, particularly with the religious jokes--Christ appears, for example, in a "Kill Bill" parody, battling rabbis on his way to fight the Easter Bunny. Not for the underaged.

Just one thing... Shouldn't it be Cyborg Chicken?

The Palpatine gets call from Vader- Just saw that one about ten minutes ago. It's a riot.
